Cutter will win Mr. Basketball. You read it here first.

The list of accomplishments is long and the respect is deep. PrepHoops.com/Tennessee beat writer Courtney Smith was the first here to spot Cutter's meteoric leap. Back in June 2025 Courney was on hand at BCAT's Hoopfest and witnessed Sisk destroy a strong Maryville team with his court vision and shooting touch. As many as six D1 programs offered him on the spot and Cutter never looked back from there. Since that moment Courtney Smith has been Cutter's biggest proponent and by November/December every hooper and fan in Tennessee began to figure it out too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2283590' first='Carter' last='Ezell'] - Centennial - 2026 G

Starter since his sophomore year, [player_tooltip player_id='2283590' first='Carter' last='Ezell'] continues to score a high level. Unfortunately, Centennial High School is enduring a brutal season of 3 wins and 16 losses. That can have an impact on Mr. Basketball candidacies. Working in his favor is that incredible academic and testing resume'.

Like all players on this list, Carter will play college basketball next year, likely for a high-academic college or institution.

Mr. Basketball does not align directly with our rankings, but [player_tooltip player_id='2376260' first='Davis' last='Cochran'] continues to battle for #1 in the Class of 2027. Somehow more polished than his accomplished brother at the same age, Davis scores from anywhere on the floor and benefits greatly from having another big alongside, [player_tooltip player_id='3189944' first='Jake' last='West'].

Davis the only junior to be included in this specific story and one of just two juniors to be in serious contention for 4A Mr. Basketball. You will see numerous D1 programs offer Davis in the April-May window once they get "eyes on him".

[player_tooltip player_id='2817446' first='Charlie' last='Taubenheim'] blossomed in front of the state's eyes after breaking out last March with Oak Ridge at The Glass House. His mix of size and skill is rare. The Wildcats are leaning hard on him as they introduce a young team to a dastardly district. Charlie's shooting from the beyond arc sparkles. He is hitting at a college-level from deep already.
