Here's the top ranking risers in the PrepHoops 100 in WV from the AAA and AAAA divisions.

[player_tooltip player_id='2561914' first='Pierson' last='Dejneka'] 10-7

Dejneka has steadily produced impressive outings throughout his junior season. He's a sharpshooting 6'2" guard who has point guard skills to compliment his guard proficiency. The ceiling for Dejneka is high and maybe pushing higher by the minute due to his development of the array of guard skills and showing those against high level athletes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2469994' first='Brogan' last='Samms'] 17-13

Samms has recently scored his 1000th point as well as received his first official offer from University of Charleston's program. Samms rise in rankings have been driven by those two milestones as well as his floor leadership with the ascent of the St Albans program. Samms has been a scoring force since his freshman year but his year has seem to take his biggest jump in development.

[player_tooltip player_id='2337756' first='Anderson' last='McDougal'] 21-17

McDougal has been the lead dog for the Indians throughout this season leading an inexperienced roster to the top of the AAA rankings. He has a shooters touch, scorer's mentality and killer instinct on the floor. McDougal's rise is directly affected by his on court play as he's posted a string of impressive outings thus far.

[player_tooltip player_id='2345888' first='Quinten' last='Wilson'] 39-23

Wilson showed great improvement early with an accuracy shooting the ball from anywhere on the floor. Wilson's length and athleticism intrigued several coaches early but now with his smooth and accurate shooting at the guard position, he's being seen as a legit college prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2611801' first='Cayden' last='Cooper'] 121-28

Cooper has made quite a splash coming back after a year hiatus from high school basketball and made East Fairmont an immediate contender for state tournament qualifier. Cooper has the scoring niche already carved and compliments it well with great explosiveness and athleticism finishing in transition with dunks, using length to defend and creating offensive mismatches.

[player_tooltip player_id='2615796' first='Levi' last='Lewis'] 62-47

Lewis has primarily came off the bench as a guard who simply gives great energy on both ends, which is what a sixth man should be. He plays well at pace as well as play downhill. His value with South Charleston's squad has pushed his ranking ahead due to his quality minutes in that role. Lewis has a real chance to work his way into the starting lineup at some point this year and next and let his game fully flow.

[player_tooltip player_id='2721129' first='Kai' last='Martin'] 57-48

Martin has really been able to show his value this year at Chapmanville. He's given them depth and talent off the bench with starter talent. Martin has alot of tools at his disposal when they are needed and in tough match ups so far this season he's been able to display.

[player_tooltip player_id='2867482' first='Wesly' last='Scott'] 85-64

Scott has been one of North Marion's most improved players and quietly worked his way into varsity minutes adding size and skill to the Huskies already loaded lineup. His future and ceiling is very bright and high but its players like Scott who play big roles in post season games where we can expect the unexpected and bench players become important. Look for Scott's rank to rise over the summer and into next season where he'll be one of NM's mainstays.

[player_tooltip player_id='2721120' first='Avorie' last='Brown'] 95-78

Brown caught my attention just minutes into my first scout of Washington High School this year. He was very impressive in handling, passing and overall basketball IQ as he seemed to always make the right play with and without the ball. On a team with as much talent on the floor and the bench, Brown has done an impressive job pushing his game forward.
