Cleveland, Tennessee is a city that often punches above its weight class by developing more talent per capita than almost any city in Tennessee. Unlike other metro areas many of the Cleveland-based players stay home and stay with their programs for several years, which aids development and cohesiveness.

Strong lefty slasher. [player_tooltip player_id='2908162' first='Maddox' last='Frazier'] will live at the free throw line and rent free in opponents' nightmares for the next 2.5 years. Maddux is still developing his foot speed. He will be a college wing, so the ability to defend the perimeter players effectively becomes the most important focus in the coming years. He can do it though. Facing a speedy Bradley Central team January 10th Maddux operated the tip of the 1-3-1 full court spear. Frazier features a balanced offensive game. He can score at all three points on the floor, perhaps most impressively around the basket against bigger guys thanks to his advanced physicality. Maddox kind of reminds of a young Mays McCoy (Fairview HS '25) in that he is a sturdy, nimble swingman.

Solid lead guard. Bradley Central took some lumps the last month and the backcourt needed to grow up as hoopers. The improvement is apparent, and the payoff is nearing. Gold handles pressure better and keeps his team under control with the dribble. If he does get hurried, then the team suffers. Turnovers remain a concern. Ideally, the primary ball-handler will be the team's most stable passer and yet Goldston does gamble with his passes from time to time. When he plays within himself and zips passes into the post the potential becomes clear.

Unlike [player_tooltip player_id='3341280' first='Jeremiah' last='Brownlow'] and [player_tooltip player_id='3266884' first='Terrell' last='Goldston'], [player_tooltip player_id='2541296' first='Gregory' last='Cason'] is not a sophomore starter. He is a scoring threat. Energy guy off of the Bear bench. Cason transferred to Bradley Central from Cleveland High School prior to this season. Under former Cleveland High Head Coach Reggie Tucker Gregory was a promising, young freshman worth tracking. Cason is a wonderful catch-and-shoot threat, which is what Bradley Central needs to complement their quick guards. The Bears do not need a ball-handler with this unit. They need scoring away from the point of attack and Cason is able to provide that. He also rebounds offensively quite well, another weakness of the Bears. Cason can jump and engage bigger players in those rebounding battles.

Very slender guard. Seth provides active, invested defense consistently. Pesky. Dake will need to add good weight to make himself more threatening as a slasher.

[player_tooltip player_id='2479968' first='Daxton' last='Evans'] - Cleveland

Powerful rebounding wing, [player_tooltip player_id='2479968' first='Daxton' last='Evans'] is the younger brother of Cleveland High graduate Maguire Evans (Tennessee Tech University). Daxton is stunningly fast and rebounds at an elite level for a high school guard. In fact, Cleveland plays him as more of a power forward than a guard thanks to his strength and toughness.

Very, very quick. [player_tooltip player_id='3341280' first='Jeremiah' last='Brownlow'] is not tall. And might never reach 6'0". If a shorter guard wants to be threatening, then they must do one of three things at an elite level: jump, run, shoot. He is jet-quick and apparently shoots a pretty ball as he made some difficult three-pointers against McMinn County January 10th. Defended well in and out of the zone. He is surprisingly strong for a sophomore guard and is unafraid to use his chest as a deterrent. Speedy in transition. Brownlow owns some decent bounce which mitigates his height disadvantage a touch. Brownlow competes as a football player for Bradley Central. He plays cornerback and wide receiver.
