<p>The OHSAA basketball season is about halfway complete with most teams playing almost 11 of the 22 allowed regular season contests. In this article we'll break down the top ten teams in Division V as of January 8th.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">1. Lutheran East (9-0)</h2>

<p>The clear top ranked team in the Division, the Falcons have recent wins over Glenville, Euclid and Warrensville Heights. Dominating some of the top teams on the east side of Cleveland as well as holding two wins on neutral courts over top Columbus teams in Reynoldsburg and Westerville North and arguably the top team in the east district in Berlin Hiland, the Falcons have gone out and beat anybody, anywhere at any time so far.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">2. Columbus Africentric (7-1)</h2>

<p>The Nubians have two blowout wins to start the new year and appear to be favorites in the Columbus City League.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">3. Margaretta (10-1)</h2>

<p>The Polar Bears have a big game Vs 9-1 Willard this weekend and have a monster clash with Division IV powerhouse Dayton Northridge.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">4. Keystone (9-1)</h2>

<p>Some marquee wins vaulted Keystone up the rankings and a close loss to Division II foe Amherst doesn't drop them out of the top 5.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">5. Genoa Area (9-0)</h2>

<p>A 39 point win over previously unbeaten Otsego sees Genoa Area fly up the rankings.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">6. Versailles (8-1)</h2>

<p>Their lone loss is to Division II foe Clayton Northmont, they'll have games Vs conference rivals Marion Local and Delphos St John's soon who are also ranked in the top 10 of their Division.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">7. Bishop Ready (9-2)</h2>

<p>A win over conference rival Columbus Academy sees the Silver Knights move up a few spots in the top 10.</p>

<p>The Pirates handed rival Ironton their only loss of the season, kicking the Fighting Tigers out of the top 10 and pushing Wheelersburg into the top 10.</p>

<p>Every win for the Freddies has been by double-digits, including their signature win over Harvest Prep.</p>

<p>Their two losses this year are to Cincinnati Princeton and Covington Holy Cross, those teams are a combined 18-3 this year.</p>
