Diamond Doves Standouts vs Blue Checks OTE

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Monday night I attended an Overtime Elite game at the Phhacility in Phx. The local OTE team played vs the North Carolina based team Combine Academy AKA Blue Checks OTE.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Here were some of the standouts from the local team</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2207302' first='Ethan' last='Butler'] Phhoenix Prep OTE (Pictured)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A tough CG who handles a lot of the ball handling for the OTE team as they do not have a traditional PG on the roster. He is a cerebral type who can shoot the three and he definitely has a nose for the ball to rebound. He will grab rebounds out of his area with his frame and has real toughness. He scored 10 points and 7 rebounds.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1231510' first='Marcus' last='McDonald'] Phhoenix Prep OTE</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An athletic combo guard plays on or off the ball. He likes to attack getting downhill and will get hot and rattle in threes off the catch. He has a high level mid-range jumper with plus elevation using his bounce. He will also euro down the lane and scored 26 points.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2144878' first='Jacob' last='Williford'] Phhoenix Prep OTE</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A tough combo guard who plays on the ball a lot. He is very tough to get inside the paint and finish off difficult takes with his left or right hand thru the contact. He is very patient as he often plays off of two feet. He is a very good rebounder and passer. He scored 17 points with 6 assists.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2492665' first='Anthony' last='Granger'] Phhoenix Prep OTE</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A long and lean power forward is a super quick leaper to dunk the ball, score with offensive rebound put backs and tip-ins. He will also score with threes off the catch and runs the floor fluidly. He makes his money with rebounding and blocking shots.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1793648' first='Jaquan' last='Stennis'] Phhoenix Prep OTE</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A power forward with skill and athleticism. He will score with threes off the catch, he gets downhill to the basket and will spin off of his defender. He scores with euro steps, offensive rebound put backs and he is a plus rebounder in his area and showed a big motor. He actually made some incredible live dribble passes perfectly into shooting pickets or threading the needle. He has a pretty looking stroke and he is a top-end athlete. He timed a couple would-be breakaway attempts off the glass for blocks impressively.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
