<p>The brackets have been released for the upcoming Bass Pro Tournament of Champions, which will be held this week from Thursday to Saturday at the Great Southern Bank Arena in Springfield on the campus of Missouri State University.</p>

<p>The loaded eight-team tournament features three teams from the state of Missouri along with five national teams. Representing the local Ozark region will be Springfield Kickapoo and [player_tooltip player_id='2873530' first='Logan' last='']-Rogersville. Joining team from the Show-Me State is Principia, who is currently ranked No. 2 in the latest national high school poll from Max Preps.</p>

<p>The fans from the Springfield area and the region do a great job of supporting the event as all the games are played to capacity or near-capacity crowds at every session.</p>

<p>Principia vs. Kickapoo: The first-round match pits two of the top programs in the state of Missouri against each other. Principia is following up its 2025 Class 3 state title with another terrific regular season against a national schedule. The Panthers won the championship of the Great 8 in Jefferson City and finished third in the City of Palms in Florida. Kickapoo is once again one of the top teams in the SWMO area. The Chiefs won the championship of the Arvest Classic earlier this season.</p>

They will take on a Logan-Rogersville team that is one of the best in the state in Class 4. Both won big tournaments on the holiday season. Paul VI won the City of Palms in Florida while Logan-Rogersville won the championship at the Blue & Gold Tournament in Springfield.</p>

<p>Wheeler is a national power out of Marietta (GA) and a past champion of the Bass Pro Tournament of Champions. Bartlett is a national powerhouse out of the state of Tennessee. Both teams competed in the City of Palms Classic in December. Ironically, both teams played Principia at the City of Palms. Principia defeated Wheeler in the quarterfinals and Bartlett in the third place game.</p>
