2026 January New Additions

However, the 2026 Prep Hoops Arkansas rankings continue to add new additions to the rankings. Here are several new additions having an impact this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3042164' first='Peyton' last='Hicks']-Small Forward/Power Forward-Genoa Central-6'7”</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hicks is the type of forward who can take over the paint on both ends of the floor. He plays tough defense and will alter shots. Meanwhile, he does an excellent job of battling for rebounds and getting to the loose balls. On the offensive end of the floor, Hicks has the ability to absorb the contact and finish strong around the rim. Hicks is a player to watch out for as the season starts to wind down over the next few weeks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3033951' first='Jackson' last='Harp']-Shooting Guard/Combo Guard-Gravette-6'4”</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3033951' first='Jackson' last='Harp'] is a headache for opposing defenders to contain on the offensive end of the floor. Harp has the range to consistently hit jump shots from all three levels of the floor. Harp makes good decisions with the ball in his hands. He is unselfish with the basketball and looks to make the extra pass to the open shooter. Harp does a good job of staying active on the defensive end of the floor and will force turnovers. He is a player to watch out for as the playoffs approach.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Ontarious Odom-Power Forward/Small Forward-North Little Rock-6'8”</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The North Little Rock forward has the potential to take over games on both ends of the floor. Odom powers into the paint and finishes around the rim while getting fouled. He does a nice job of snagging rebounds on both ends of the floor. Meanwhile, he has no problem kicking the ball to a shooter beyond the arc. Odom is a player to watch out for as the season progresses toward the playoffs. Odom is a player to watch out for the next few weeks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2973723' first='Carson' last='Simpson']-Small Forward/Shooting Guard-Farmington-6'5”</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2973723' first='Carson' last='Simpson'] has the versatility to guard multiple positions on the floor. He is a scrapper on the defensive end of the floor. He does an excellent job of forcing turnovers and grabbing rebounds. Meanwhile, he has the range to consistently knock down the deep jumper from anywhere on the floor for the Cardinals. Simpson is a player to watch out for with the Cardinals as the playoffs approach.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
