[player_tooltip player_id='2417877' first='John' last='Hawkins'] (SLUH): The 6'5" 2027 guard got the event off to a strong start with a 25-point performance in the Jr. Bills victory over Breese Mater Dei. He has very good positional size and scoring ability from all three levels. He knocked down four 3-pointers in the game. He also did a good job of working inside on the drive and getting himself to the free throw line, where he had 10 attempts. In a league such as the Metro Catholic Conference that is the home of many talented players, he is emerging as an excellent young prospect with each game.

He's quick and he was scoring on some nice penetrating drives to the basket. He is a pass-first point guard, but he has been on a very good scoring run during the past four games, where he is averaging about 15 points a game.
