WBCA/Prep Hoops Poll: December 15
Nine of the top 10 teams in the updated Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association/Prep Hoops WIAA Division 1 poll enter week No. 4 of competition with unbeaten records.
Two-time defending WIAA state champion Wisconsin Lutheran remains on top of the D1 poll after big wins last week over both Slinger and New Berlin West. The nothing short-of-dominant Vikings had little trouble in beating their two opponents last week despite the fact each team came into the contest undefeated.
Slinger stayed on top in Division 2 even with its loss to Wisconsin Lutheran while Racine St. Catherine's edged Racine Lutheran 75-74 last week to remain the top-ranked squad in Division 3.
Milwaukee Juneau posted impressive wins over Whitnall and Milwaukee King to keep its top ranking in Division 4 while North Crawford stays No. 1 in Division 5, just ahead of both Columbus Catholic and Sheboygan Lutheran.
A couple of big games at the Division 1 level this week with fourth-ranked Appleton North playing unbeaten Kaukauna in the Fox Valley Association and fifth-ranked De Pere taking on seven-ranked Bay Port in the Fox River Classic Conference.
