REDONDO BEACH — The 2025 Jordan Brand Take Flight Challenge opened up Friday with three games at Redondo Union high school. SeaHawks' coach Reggie Morris, Jr. and his staff consistently put on strong events and this year's TFC is shaping up to be another great event. Below we take a closer look at the most versatile players from the three games on Friday night.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150822' first='Cameron' last='Holmes'] | 2026 | Millennium (AZ)

Holmes combination of offensive and defensive instincts, along with his size, length and athleticism, allow him to impact both ends of the floor on a consistent basis. The 6-foot-6 Arizona-signee rebounded the defensive glass, pushed the break and made high IQ decisions with the ball, was highly effective against the JSerra zone when flashing to the middle where he knocked down mid-range jumpers or used his vision to find an open shooter. Holmes scored 12 points to go along with nine rebounds in a win.

[player_tooltip player_id='2425677' first='Kawika' last='Suter'] | 2026 | Rolling Hills Prep

Suter's perimeter skill-set, combined with his ball skills, vision and passing ability allowed him to play a point-forward type of role in Rolling Hills Prep's win over Democracy Prep. The 6-foot-7 wing took the lead as a ball handler when Nevada-based Democracy Prep turned up the pressure and either dribbled his way into mid-range jumpers and at-rim finishes or kept it simple and guided the Huskies into their half-court offense. Suter scored 17 points - including two three-pointers - and pulled down six rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2622305' first='Mateo' last='Ingersoll'] | 2026 | Arcadia

Ingersoll is an under-the-radar wing/forward in SoCal's 2026 class who is off to a strong start to his senior year. The wiry 6-foot-7 prospect flashed his athletic slashing and finishing abilities in transition and half-court offense, complete with a couple of impressive above-the-rim finishes. Ingersoll was also a viable option when isolated at the elbow which resulted in him ripping through to his right hand for strong drives and finishes at the rim. He finished with 16 points in a win over Francis Parker.

Nick Welch, Jr. | 2027 | Rolling Hills Prep

Welch, Jr. is one of the top interior scorers in the state and he continues to add more layers to his game that have increased his versatility. The 6-foot-9 forward/center has obvious gifts as a back to the basket scorer with his combination of footwork, touch and physicality but it is his budding face-up shooting and driving abilities that make him a very tough cover at the high school level. Welch, Jr. scored 16 points, including 6-for-6 from the free throw line.

[player_tooltip player_id='2750220' first='Ryan' last='Doane'] | 2028 | JSerra

Doane is becoming more confident and assertive offensively with each game he plays. The 6-foot-9 sophomore is as skilled as they come - both on the block and when operating on the perimeter as a ball screener or offensive initiator in dribble hand-off action. Doane recored a double-double - 11 points and 10 rebounds - in JSerra's loss to Millennium and wrapped in his perimeter touch to complement his at-rim skill-set.
