<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the top players in the Albuquerque Metro Region has picked up an offer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>2026 6-foot-6 Albuquerque High SG/SF <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2827330' first='Ethan' last='Oetzel']</strong> announced on social media Friday that he was offered by DIII Milwaukee School of Engineering, a member of the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Oetzel is off to a fast start for the Bulldogs, who have won five of six games following an 0-3 start. AHS heads to Hobbs for a Holiday Tournament starting Monday. Albuquerque High faces Wichita Falls (TX) Legacy in their tourney opener on Monday at 4:45 p.m. at Tasker Arena in Hobbs. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Oetzel averaged 20 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals per game over a recently completed 5-game stretch. He had one of the best games of his career on Dec. 5 when he scored 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a 54-42 victory over Cibola. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In Albuquerque High's season opener on Nov. 28, he scored 19 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and handed out 4 assists in the Bulldogs' loss to the four-time defending state champions. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Before the 2025-26 season started, Oetzel was one of the standouts at the Enchantment Classic in mid-November.
