5 games took place across Utah last night, here's a few things to know about each one.

Salt Lake Academy @ APA West Valley

The 2-6 SLA Griffins took a tough loss, 33-61 on the road against APA West Valley. With a stellar performance from [player_tooltip player_id='2456647' first='Chris' last='Monroy'] and tight defense across the board, APA definitely got the best of the Griffins. None of their playmakers were able to get going which has been the case for a lot of their losses. Look for Salt Lake Academy to try and bounce back against Utah Military Camp Williams on Wednesday.

West Jordan @ Copper Hills

The West Jordan Jaguars battled in the 4th quarter after a tough start to the second half but couldn't make up enough ground to pull out the win against Copper Hills. CH won 70-57, fueled by an outstanding 3Q pacing their opponents 29-13. Leading scorer [player_tooltip player_id='1771527' first='Isaiah' last='Reiser'] went off. He finished with 27 PTS and AST, which many of those came in that 3Q. Other notable players in the game were [player_tooltip player_id='2539815' first='Joe' last='Herrera'] with a great ability to flip the momentum in this game with his quick hands in passing lanes. [player_tooltip player_id='2844470' first='Jacob' last='Curtis'] who is a great all-around defender as well. And Ahmad Mullahkhul who hit 6 three-pointers for WJ.

Maeser Prep @ Duchesne

This one was a defensive battle between the two teams. A low scoring affair only reaching 35-47, but Duchesne was able to get enough from their guys to beat the Lions. Both teams did not shoot very well from the free throw line either which contributed. Duchesne had a nice scoring output from Scottie Branson and surprise from Ryker Koerner with 14 as well. Maeser Prep really tries to implement a very team-oriented offense. But none of their guys could catch a hot hand last night to put them over the edge.

West @ Wasatch

Wasatch took the home win 67-53 to get up to 5-1 W-L on the year. It was a great game shooting the ball for [player_tooltip player_id='1809908' first='Carsen' last='Behnke'] who had 22 PTS and 6 three-pointers fall. Other notable players for the Wasps are Caleb Balch, Dante Rodriguez, and [player_tooltip player_id='1786751' first='JJ' last='Serre'] who helped manage the load offensively. [player_tooltip player_id='2086275' first='Elijah' last='Albertson'] of West had a stellar performance and his best game of the season. Finishing with 26, 7R, 6A, and 3STL was a great effort to try and keep his team in this game. He's a great all-around player and if he can continue to score like this, he'll be a guy for schools to keep an eye on.

Providence Hall @ Rockwell

This game turned out to be a barn burner. Ending in a 71-69 battle this one came down to the last possession. This game saw three players (Isaac Christiansen, Jacob Christiansen, and Ryker Lancaster) score 20 or more, as well as 19 from [player_tooltip player_id='2844485' first='Dallas' last='Loutensock'] and 18 from Ethan Kearl. This game went back and forth with double digit leads on both sides, but Rockwell came out on top to get their first win of the year and give Providence Hall their first loss. Now Rockwell heads into Vanguard High School on Wednesday to keep the ball rolling.
