Fresh Faces (Southwest): 7th Graders To Watch In The New Year

Part Four of our 7th Grade Fresh Faces series heads to the Southwest, where grit, skill, and basketball savvy take center stage. This group of young prospects plays with confidence and composure, combining polished fundamentals with a competitive edge. Whether it's knockdown shooting, strong downhill attacks, or making the right play at the right time, these kids find ways to influence the game. With their balance of toughness and talent, they're quickly making noise in a region known for producing high-level hoopers...    Justin Armstrong is a dynamic, high-level guard who consistently puts pressure on defenses with his versatile offensive skill set. He's an advanced scorer who can attack defenders in multiple ways, whether creating his own shot off the bounce or capitalizing on defensive breakdowns. Armstrong is extremely comfortable with the ball in his hands, showcasing a tight handle, change of pace, and the ability to get to his spots efficiently. He plays with confidence and poise, making him difficult to contain in isolation situations.     Ace Harper is a big, physical guard who brings consistent productivity and a strong two-way impact to the floor. His size at the guard position allows him to play with strength and control, creating advantages on both ends of the court. Offensively, Harper is effective as a downhill attacker who can absorb contact and finish through traffic, while also making smart decisions as a playmaker. He understands how to manage pace and keep the offense organized. On the defensive end, Harper's length and physicality stand out, enabling him to guard multiple positions and disrupt opposing ball-handlers.     Broderick Hays is a smooth, high-level scoring wing who makes the game look effortless with his polished offensive skill set. He has a natural feel for putting the ball in the basket, using a fluid shooting stroke and strong shot-making ability from multiple areas on the floor. Hays is comfortable creating his own offense, whether rising up over defenders, attacking closeouts, or operating out of isolation. He plays with pace and balance, rarely forcing the action, and consistently finds quality looks within the flow of the offense.     Joe Lamb, Jr. is a sharpshooting guard who brings immediate scoring value with his ability to consistently knock down shots. He has a confident, repeatable shooting stroke and does an excellent job of capitalizing on opportunities created by his teammates, showing strong awareness and timing to get open. Lamb understands spacing and relocates well, making him a constant threat off the ball. When the basketball finds his hands, he's prepared to score, whether from beyond the arc or in rhythm situations.     Corbin Roesser is a dependable lead guard who brings stability and direction to the offense. He does a strong job of organizing the team, setting the tone with his decision-making and understanding of game flow. Roesser handles the ball with confidence and shows poise under pressure, allowing him to initiate sets and get teammates involved in the right spots.
