The 2026 class has been productive during the first half of the 2025 season.

The productivity has been seen across Tennessee. Whether people have noticed or not, the senior class has a lot of talent.

And it's time to notice how well the prospects have performed.

How good has this class been in the early portion of the season?

It's been very good.

Here are seniors that are off to a good start:

[player_tooltip player_id='2139567' first='Avery' last='Coles'], White House-Heritage: Coles, the 7-foot-0 center with excellent footwork, has the Patriots off to an 8-0 start. This shouldn't come as a shocker, because Coles has the tools to carry a team for an entire season. His numbers tell everything. Coles is averaging 25.3 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game. By season's end, Coles could position himself to rack up individual accolades.

[player_tooltip player_id='2360874' first='Jordan' last='Myers'], Freedom Prep Academy: Myers has been consistent for the Eagles, and because of him, Freedom Prep Academy (3-3) has been competitive early in the season. Just last week, the small point guard hit a game-winner at City University. Myers can make shots from the perimeter and can get into the lane with ease. He's currently averaging 14.0 points, 4.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2236641' first='Kaden' last='Matthews'], Smyrna: I don't know how many transition dunks Matthews have had in his high school career, but I'm pretty sure a lot of his highlights are in a lot of people's smartphones. The 6-6 wing has been his usual self: aggressive on offense, finishing with force, and dominating the boards. Matthews has the Bulldogs at 5-4 and is currently averaging 20.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.2 steals, 1.8 assists, and 1.0 block per contest. He's not done. More highlights and solid performances are coming for Matthews.

[player_tooltip player_id='2876404' first='Lukas' last='Phillips'], Cannon County: Phillips is having fun helping his team rack up wins. He's also having the time of his life producing in the process. The Lions are 7-0, and they're probably thanking Phillips' contributions to their hot start. Cannon County is playing fast, getting out in transition, while looking at its opponents in the rearview mirror who have had a hard time keeping up. Phillips is currently averaging 26.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.3 steals per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2308938' first='Steven' last='Sherman'], Ensworth: Sherman has stamped himself one of the best players this season in TSSAA Division II-AA. Sherman has been the total package. He's a three-level scorer, fierce competitor and grimy defender. Sherman, who has helped the Tigers race to a 5-2 start, wants to prove that he can be the best player on any given night. He's currently averaging 25.0 points, 4.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2364080' first='Will' last='McCrary'], Jackson County: McCrary is one of the best forwards in the class. He led the Blue Devils to the semifinals round of the TSSAA Division I Class 2A Boys' State Tournament last season and will look to get the program back to Murfreesboro, Tennessee this season. With McCrary being his usual self, Jackson County should feel confident in its chances of competing for a 2A state title in March. He's currently averaging 23.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2295749' first='Parker' last='Patterson'], Jackson County: Patterson compliments McCrary well. He's a shot taker and shot maker. Patterson is currently shooting over 50 percent from 3. He reached 1,000 points last week. The tandem of Patterson and McCrary have the Blue Devils sitting at 9-2. Patterson is currently averaging 17.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.
