SWFL 2027 Under the Radar Prospects, Second Five

As we gear up for the 2025-26 season lets take a closer look at the class of 2027 and some under the radar prospects of Southwest Florida. This handful of players may not be as well-known as some of the other prospects in the area, but have shown they can compete and be key pieces to their team's success this upcoming season.    The smooth-shooting lefty from Barron Collier, looks to see a heavy workload in the backcourt this upcoming season. Cadavos has a tremendous basketball IQ and is a clutch player who won't back down from the big shot. He attacks the basket with no fear, and compliments that with a soft stroke from the outside, where he shoots the 3-ball at a very high rate. Look for Cadavos to be a key piece in the Cougars success in 2025-26.     The dual-sport athlete, Curliss, is coming off a successful campaign on the gridiron, and should see his stock rise on the hardwood throughout the season. The 6'2" CG has great size and strength and rebounds the ball very well from the guard position. He is a team first guy, who knows the game and gives it his all every time he steps on the floor. Curliss can score inside and out, but really excels attacking the basket and finishing around the rim, or stopping on a dime and pulling up for his mid-range jumper.     Kirkby is the Bull Sharks sharpshooter, and looks again to be one of their leaders in 2025-26. He is a smart player who likes to play with the ball in his hands, where he can facilitate the offense. He has the ability to guard multiple positions on defense and can also be a real asset on the boards for Bonita. He has a nice jump shot with a high release, making him difficult to block, and is very efficient from behind the arc.     A strong-bodied guard, Rees, looks to step up and be a key piece for the Celtics this upcoming season. The 6'1" CG is a tough, gritty player who never takes a play off. He is a hardnosed defender who won't back down from any assignment, and always steps up to the challenge. Rees handles the ball very well and likes to attack the basket, where he has the ability to finish with contact. He can score in a number of ways, but also looks to find the open man and get his teammates involved.     The transfer from Cypress Lake, Banks, is a do it all guy for the Cougars, who should shine in his new home. He is a terrific defender, who likes to force turnovers and turn defense into offense. He can score on all 3-levels, and is an excellent 3-point shooter, who can really score in bunches. The crafty lefty has the ability to create his own shot, and has a quick first step where he looks to beat the defense off the dribble.
