On Thursday, October 23rd I spent a day watching the National Scholastic Prep Association at the Phhacility in Phoenix, AZ. I watched five local AZ teams and here were the players that stood out.

NSPA: Top Shooters Viewed

[player_tooltip player_id='2622811' first='Kaleb' last='DeHaan'] Phhoenix Prep NSPA (Pictured)

A bigger guard/wing is one of the top shooters in the class. He will hit the three in bunches off the catch with picture perfect stroke. He will score it inside with hook shots with his dominant right hand, which is very polished. He also rebounds well in his area and will even block shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2198616' first='Raine' last='Walsh'] Phhoenix Prep NSPA

A catch and catch three point sniper with a super quick trigger and a very high arc. He comes with volleyball line range and has huge confidence that the next one will go in with no conscience. He rebounds well in his area and is competitive on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2412296' first='Logan' last='Charbonneau'] Paragon Prep

An undersized scoring guard plays the game with a big IQ and he can shoot the three at a high level off the catch or pull. He will get hot quickly and drill it from downtown with a quicker release. He has a little burst to get to the basket with a decent handle.

[player_tooltip player_id='2677143' first='Muhammad' last='Manigat'] Bella Vista Prep

A deep three point shooter with some size. He is long in the passing lanes to collect steals and he is a good defender in space. He can get to his spots with a nice handle and rise up from mid-range with good elevation. He has one of those strokes that look good on every attempt.

[player_tooltip player_id='2215387' first='Jahmai' last='Samuel-Maragh'] Bella Vista Prep

A good sized defensive shooting guard is your classic 3 and D type. He will catch and shoot it or off the dribble threes one by one. He will dribble drive to the basket and give hard ball fakes inside. He is also a very physical on-ball defender with his stronger frame and length.

[player_tooltip player_id='2149096' first='Camden' last='Jenkins'] Premier Prep Tucson

Jenkins made the move from Cholla and transferred over to the local prep team. He has a strong frame with longer arms to keep his opponents in front of him and plays the passing lanes to collect steals. He will drive the lane and he will hit the three. A possible 3 and D type.
