High School Spotlight: Kouts Mustangs

The season is still a few weeks away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. He is&nbsp;217-144&nbsp;as a head coach.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Will compete for Class 1A State Championship</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Top Player:&nbsp;<strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1559321' first='Lucas' last='Kleckner']</strong><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/jahari-miller/"></a></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Mustangs of Kouts High School have a legit chance to win Class 1 State this season and for them, it all starts with senior guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1559321' first='Lucas' last='Kleckner'].</strong> Kleckner is one of the top players in all of Class 1A and returns as the leading scorer for the Mustangs bringing back 17.8 points and 4.7 assists per game while shooting 63-131 (48.1%) from three-point range. At around 5'8, Kleckner is a big time playmaker on the ball being able to be a guard that runs a good offense setting up plays for both himself and teammates.
