The high school basketball season is into its second week. It has not taken long for freshman prospects to start to rise through the ranks. Here are several freshman prospects on the rise to start the season. He is a tough defender in the paint and forces tough shots. Meanwhile, he will battle opposing players for rebounds. Thompson is a player to watch out for the next few seasons. Speed is not afraid to force the tempo and get opposing defenders playing on their heels. He will attack the paint and either make the extra pass or finish with points. Speed is a player to watch out for with the Trojans over the next few years. He has the potential to put up big numbers in the future. In the win over Palestine, Cox had 22 points, four boards, one assist, and five steals. He has the ability to fill up the stat sheet on both ends of the floor. Cox is a player to watch out for over the next couple of seasons for the Dragons. Shelton is a player to watch out for on both ends of the floor for the Tigers. He has the potential to put big numbers over the next few years.
