Here are 3 good things about the Wildcats:

Talented sophomore

[player_tooltip player_id='2805504' first='Cash' last='Williams'] has the makings of being a really good player. He's a 6-foot-0 guard with shotmaking ability. In the second half against the Knights, Williams made two 3s as Fayette Ware started to build a comfortable lead. He was finishing through contact in transition. Williams did a solid job of taking what the defense gave him. He didn't force shots. Williams was solid on the defensive end. He finished the day with 15 points. Williams is an All-District player. He fits the mold of a player that's capable of carrying a team on any given night.

It's best to be in shape

Any team that plays Fayette Ware this season will need to be in top shape, because the Wildcats' guards love to pick up 94-feet on every possession. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2886161' first='JaCorey' last='Stanley'] is a 5-7 pit bull. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2283267' first='Elijah' last='Lowe'] is a 6-2 hybrid that seems to always have his hands on the basketball each possession. Sophomore guards [player_tooltip player_id='2796643' first='Kylon' last='Terry'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2805504' first='Cash' last='Williams'] aren't giving up anything cheap on the perimeter. Stingy defense has been something head coach Demarius Chearis has preached to each group he's coached. Being a defensive-minded team is what helped Fayette Ware rally from an early 16-7 deficit in the first quarter. Once the Wildcats took the lead in the second quarter, they clamped down harder on defense, forced turnovers, and scored off of them.

With Lowe, Williams, Stanley, and Terry in the fold, it's going to be very hard to score a lot points on those guys. Teams in Class 3A will have their hands full this season.

Great ball movement

Fayette Ware recorded 20 assists in Tuesday's win. The Wildcats had great ball movement. Stanley was penetrating into the middle of the paint, collapsing the defense, so he could find the open man in the corner or on the wing. Fayette Ware had good balance. Terry made shots and led the team with 20 points. He's another sophomore that's going to make noise this season. Terry is a good on-ball defender and can score at an efficient clip.

Stanley finished with 11.
