<p>On Saturday October 25th I attended the 27th annual <strong>Arizona Preps Showcase </strong>at Inspire Courts. It is typically the last event before tryouts in November. There was around 55 different high schools in attendance and I viewed around 20 of them.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2367880' first='Saleem' last='Gakiza'] Hillcrest Prep (Pictured)</strong></p>

<p>A strong framed guard with great size who loves to get downhill. He is a good rebounder in his area and will grab and go up the court to score or make a play. He can hit the three off the catch and he uses his frame and length to defend. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2292818' first='O'mari' last='Gilbert'] Paradise Valley</strong></p>

<p>A fluid and graceful power forward can score it from inside the paint. He is a good passer out of the double team and he is great on the glass. He can score with drop step moves and run the floor well. He gets off the floor quickly to rebound, dunk or block shots. </p>

<p>A highly skilled wing forward can score it from inside and out. He will get on the glass and scored with offensive rebound put backs but then step out and hit the three off the catch or pull. He is very patient and he should be their go-to guy this season. </p>

<p>A strong lefty power forward has a sturdy frame to rip thru to the basket. He can hit the three off the catch and handle the ball well for his position. He will defend inside with his strength and he is a vital part of their main core to make a deep playoff run. </p>

<p>A quick scoring lead guard who plays with good pace and poise. He will score with and-1's in the lane, catch threes, mid-range jumpers off the dribble and step thrus. He understands how to change speeds and leads the Tigers. </p>

<p>An athletic wing forward who can hit the three, get downhill and he has plus footwork with left or right hand to the basket thru some contact. He will mostly dribble drive and gets on the glass despite being undersized with a top motor to rebound. </p>

<p>A cerebral power forward who can take the ball off the glass and go coast to coast with a nice handle. He is a very good passer down the court and finds teammates when he is double teamed. He has good footwork and he can be a mismatch problem this season. </p>

<p>A strong framed scoring combo guard is a good passer with drive and kicks and up the court with a big IQ. He scores it getting downhill, he will hit the three and he will dunk it on the break after he plays the passing lanes with his length and twitch. He will get on the glass and score with put backs. </p>
