Coach K brought together some of the top talent from Nashville and the surrounding areas for one final tune-up before the high school season tips off and the energy in the gym was electric. The level of competition was high, and several players proved they are ready to lead their programs this year. Here are a few standouts who made a strong impression…

[player_tooltip player_id='1966262' first='Zander' last='Holt'] (6'2/PG/‘26/Battle Ground Academy)

IG: Zander_holt1

X: @zander_holt11

When 5v5 play started, it seemed as though Zander finally showed up to camp. He is listed as a point guard, but he had his scoring prowess on full display. He has good basketball instincts and showed that he is wired to score the ball and has the tools to make it happen. He has nice handles, a good dribble-drive game, and is scary in the open court. He is really good at going to the rim and shooting from the mid-range. On defense, he is committed and was an extremely tough on-ball defender. He has a good motor and gets the most out of his physical tools, as he is an absolutely lethal scorer with self-creation upside and a playmaking skill set.

Jayden Balut (6'1/CG/‘26/Harvester Christian Academy)

IG: Jaydenbalut_5

X: @jaydenbalut4_

Jayden is a mature combo guard who produces on and off the ball. I evaluated Jayden earlier this year, and what I saw in him then, I saw in him at this camp. He has a brilliant floor game and is very good at balancing scoring and facilitating. He shot the ball extremely well from behind the arc and consistently got paint touches, where he made really good decisions in tight spaces. He understands how to use his gravity to create for his teammates, and he is poised for a stock-rising senior season.

Johnny Nwoye (6'5/PF/‘27/Hume-Fogg)

IG: Johnnwoye8

X: @Johnnwoye8

I would venture to say that Johnny was, if not the best player on the day, he was definitely in the top three. He is listed as a power forward, but he showed a lot of versatility in his overall game on both ends of the floor. He excelled in scoring, rebounding, defense, and playmaking while also impacting the game with his ability to stretch the floor with his perimeter jumper, dominate the paint with his length and athleticism, and anchored the defense with his ability to defend in space and challenge shots at the rim. He was virtually unstoppable throughout the day in the paint, at the rim, and on the glass.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194623' first='Miles' last='Alexander'] (6'0/PG/‘28/Cannon County HS)

IG: Milesalexander_11

X: @MilesA_2028

Miles showed his ability to run the show with impressive poise and maturity. He is a young cerebral point guard with a really good PG IQ. He demonstrated excellent timing, pace control, decision-making, and really good set-up ability with the rock in his hands. He prioritized setting up his teammates but also showed he can score when needed, making him a true dual-threat as a floor general. He has three-level scoring ability and is a smooth shot maker when he is looking for his offense.

Jayden Bailey (6'2/G|F/'27/Lebanon HS)

IG: 1armbandit12

X: @jay12bailey

What kind I say about Jayden, who yes, competes with one arm, and let me go ahead and say that he is not looking for sympathy or anyone to take it easy on him, because he is not taking it easy on opponents. He has an aggressive nature on both ends of the floor. He handles the ball, can attack off the bounce, can get into his shots, and can make the perimeter jumper. I was highly impressed with Jayden and his competitive nature.

[player_tooltip player_id='2828896' first='Keyon' last='Shaw'] (6'4/SF/‘28/Ensworth)

IG: Keyyupnextt_

X: @Keywitdabounce

Keyon is a prospect out on the wing who showcased his blend of length, athleticism, and offensive skill into a versatile two-way package. He has good positional size, and he impacts the game on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he is a good shot-creator capable of generating looks from all three levels. He thrives in isolation and excels at creating space off the dribble, knocking down tough, contested jumpers, and finishing at the rim with body control, touch, physicality, and athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436229' first='Jalen' last='Fails'] (6'1/SF/‘27/Cane Ridge HS)

IG: Jalen_.d1

X: @Iamjalenfails

Jalen is a wing who was aggressive on the offensive end of the court and consistently looked to get to the rim. He is a talented scorer off the bounce, but he also showed his multi-level scoring ability. Off the bounce, his physical play makes it difficult for defenders to contain him. He uses a mix of speed, strength, and skill to get to the basket, can shoot over defenders with pull-ups in his middle game, and does a good job finishing through contact in the paint and at the rim.
