On the Board: Texas 6’5″ DI Committed Prospects

Texas continues to set the pace nationally for producing multi-skilled, college-ready perimeter size. The state's 6'5" group in the Class of 2026 already includes several Division I commitments across a wide competitive spectrum — from the toughness of UTEP and Louisiana Tech to the structure of Air Force and the tempo of Abilene Christian. Each of these prospects brings a translatable blend of strength, poise, and adaptability to the next level. Collectively, they represent what college staffs seek in modern wings: positionally flexible, competitive, and ready to contribute early.

Abilene Christian commit J'Den Shields is a dynamic three-level scoring threat with the size and confidence to take over possessions.
