Veal competed with the JV1 squad at Pius XI Catholic last season and now appears poised for a breakout junior season with the Popes. The 6-foot-2 wing guard scored at a prolific level for Team 2 in Appleton as he completed plays in transition, scored off of cuts to the basket and knocked down shots outside the three-point arc. He had 20 points in a win over Team 1 and drew several fouls on while driving to the basket. Veal has grown a bit in recent years and has a strong frame, one that could create some issues for the very strong competition in the Woodland West Conference.

Leave Rouse open at your own peril. He will make you pay. The lanky forward prospect knocked down one three after another for Team 2 on Sunday in its win over Team 1 at the Prep Hoops Expo in Appleton. He finished the contest with six made triples and 20 points. In addition, Rouse used his quick jumping ability and sound timing to block several shots on the defensive end of the floor. Rouse started for coach Freddie Riley as a junior at Menomonee Falls and averaged 11.0 points and 5.2 rebounds. He appears ready to improve on those numbers in 2025-26 as the Phoenix look to better last year's 13-12 record.

You'd better check Perry once he catches the ball because if he's gets a head of steam up, he's getting to the basket. The powerful combination guard got to the hoop and finished at a high level for Team 2. He is very strong with the ball in his hands and loves to attack the defense and get to the basket and foul line. Perry played on the JV1 squad at Menomonee Falls as a sophomore and hopes to be in the mix for the Phoenix varsity squad this winter.

A small but fearless point guard who has a good handle and the ability to create some separation from his defender with his countless moves and herky-jerky mannerisms, Perez likes to hunt for scoring opportunities, particularly from three-point range. He has a quick trigger from deep and can make triples as he splashed two in Team 2's win over Team 1. Perez is a good on-ball defender who uses his pesky nature and lateral movement to make things difficult for opponents away from the basket.

When you are smaller than most everybody else on the court, you need to overcome the lack of height with excellence in other areas of the game. Townsend does just that with his deft ball-handling skills and impressive quickness. He dribbling and shooting skills for Team 1 helped the squad to a close win over Team 2 at the Prep Hoops Wisconsin Expo. Townsend has deep range on his jump shot and a quick release to avoid defenders as much as possible. Breaking into the playing rotation at Living Word Lutheran will be a challenge this winter, but you never count out players with a big heart and a strong desire to compete. Townsend has both of those attributes.

Another small guard on the Team 2 roster, Hendricks showed the uncanny ability to score over taller defenders in the lane. The Milwaukee Audubon Technology guard also drilled some perimeter shots and earned some trips to the foul line. His ball handling, court vision and confidence with the ball in his hands were impressive assets and will be called up in 2025-26 for an Audubon Tech squad looking to battle for the championship in the Blue Division of the Milwaukee City Conference.

A physical played who guarded different positions with success, Hamer's toughness was apparent on virtually every possession. Despite being undersized, he battled for rebounds, defended bigger opponents and used his strength to muscle his way to the basket. He can defend on the perimeter with his strength and mobility or keep bigs out of the lane with his positioning. He has quick hands that led to a few deflections and also finished well on the break. Hamer played on the talented Arrowhead varsity squad as a junior and hopes to break into the Warhawks' playing rotation as a senior.
