PrepHoopsTN Picks District 9-3A Preseason All-District Team

Liberty Creek begins their program's fourth season and welcomes back several talented hoopers. Station Camp is strong, as always. The White House senior class reminds of the 2019 core.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Junior<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='2118369' first='Connor' last='Arrington']</strong> is our Preseason D9-3A District MVP though not without worthy challengers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Enjoy the @PrepHoopsTN Preseason D9-3A All-District Team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">First Team</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2368805' first='Keilen' last='Dalton'] / Senior / Portland / Forward</strong></em><br>Last season Keilen averaged 13.1 points per game and 7.6 rebounds per game, both good enough to lead the Panthers. Dalton is not a tall forward, but he finishes well around the rim and uses his strength to get and maintain positions. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1798074' first='Louis' last='Taylor'] / Senior / White House / Forward</em></strong><br>Of the two White House starters returning [player_tooltip player_id='1798074' first='Louis' last='Taylor'] is the more athletic and sizable. Taylor defends about four positions at the high school level. In the playoffs they placed him on <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2118369' first='Connor' last='Arrington']</strong> with confidence. Earned membership on the 2024-2025 All-District Team. Named All-District Tournament Team in 2024-2025. Outstanding body control. Does not bite on pump fakes. Taylor is just an extremely solid defender. Exceptional defensive rebounder. Taylor made 101 free throws as a junior and shot 57% from the floor. Dominant.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2118369' first='Connor' last='Arrington'] / Junior / Station Camp / Guard</strong></em><br>Elite shooter. Extremely hard worker. Connor can easily play the "1", the "2", or the "3" at the 3A level though he projects as a combo guard after he graduates in two-years' time. Earned 2024-2025 All-District Team. Named All-District Tournament Team in 2024-2025. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2912407' first='Drew' last='Massey'] / Sophomore / Liberty Creek / Wing</strong></em><br>Versatile defender. Drew plays both forward and guard for Liberty Creek. The team needs him helping around the lane defensively, but he can attack from various points on the offensive end. Drew is merely a sophomore though he averaged about 10p and 7r last season. Earned All-District and All-Region last winter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2361785' first='Jalen' last='Chapman'] / Junior / Springfield / Guard </strong><br>Opponents will not enjoy welcoming Springfield's Yellow Jackets to the district, if only because [player_tooltip player_id='2361785' first='Jalen' last='Chapman'] is going to run circles around almost all of the guards. Chapman works really hard on the court and makes impact plays at all three levels. A true talent, Jalen ranks in the Top 35 of our 2027 class for good reason.
