The underclassmen talent in Texas was on full display at the Prep Hoops Freshmen Showcase and Sophomore ID Camp. Both stages gave prospects the chance to compete head-to-head, showcase their skill sets, and start building their reputations early in their high school careers. From freshmen already showing maturity beyond their years to sophomores hungry to prove they're ready for bigger opportunities, the gym was filled with energy and breakout performances. Here's a look at some of the standouts who left their mark and positioned themselves as names to track moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='2929298' first='Griffin' last='Andricks'] showcased almost guard-like fluidity, using his length to rise into uncontestable jumpers, whether it's a smooth catch-and-shoot three, a pick-and-pop, or a high-release pull-up off one or two dribbles in the mid range or paint often shooting over defenders without needing much separation. Around the rim, his touch was soft while his extension destroyed shot-blockers, while also punishing switches.

This kid immediately showed off his deep shooting range on his first attempt, forcing defenders to extend out and respect him well beyond the arc. Ludwick's ability to relocate and move off the ball with purpose made him a constant catch-and-shoot threat, keeping the defense stretched and on high alert.

The 6-foot-5 forward was highly effective as a pick-and-pop threat, slipping and spacing with excellent timing to create scoring windows. Woodard's ability to stretch the floor forced rotations, opening up driving lanes for teammates while keeping his own jumper in rhythm. His screening and pop action made him a valuable floor-spacer within halfcourt sets.

Kharel operated patiently out of triple threat, utilizing jab steps, pivots, and rip-throughs to manipulate his defender's stance. He consistently got his man leaning and immediately countered with sharp drives or pull-ups, showcasing a composed approach and quick reactionary counters to defensive pressure.

At 6-foot-3 with an elite wingspan, Johnson flashed tremendous vertical pop and timing as a rim protector. He contested and erased shots at the point of attack, meeting opposing bigs chest-to-chest and staying disciplined to get all ball. His length and athleticism allowed him to be a deterrent in the paint and a disruptive presence around the rim.
