Jamar's leadership is his defining attribute. As one of the team captains, he serves as the coach on the floor, as he handles pressure with poise while getting the Bulldogs into the right offensive and defensive sets. He is a steady scorer who is unselfish, and he knows when to take over a game and when to defer to the hot hand. He is a varsity starter since his freshman year and last season's leading scorer at 13 PPG. He enters his junior season with even more responsibility on his shoulders. His development continues to trend upward, and the future looks very bright.

Jalen Hall (6'4/F/'28/Marbury)

Jalen is a young talent who leads by example. He was the Bulldogs entire post presence last season and will look to be that presence this season as well. He is a really good finisher around the basket and rebounds as well as anyone that Coach Turner has coached. He also has the ability to hit 3's and stretch teams out, which is beneficial to what the Bulldogs are trying to do. He played on Varsity as an 8th grader and started every game last season. He could end up being a special player if he continues on his current trajectory. He averaged a double-double last season.

Noah Trotter (6'2/G/'27/Marbury)

Noah might be the most dynamic scorer on the roster. He is comfortable finding his spots at all three levels and is equally effective as a knockdown three-point shooter and a crafty finisher at the rim. He averaging 13 PPG last year in JV competition following his transfer from Prattville. He is poised to make a big impact at the varsity level as his scoring versatility makes him one of the Bulldogs' most exciting players.

Ja is one of the team's most athletic players, and he brings speed and energy to the frontcourt. After a strong season on JV last year, he earned a late-season call-up to the varsity practice squad, where he quickly proved he belonged. He will provide rebounding, finishing, and defensive presence on the inside.

Easton Wright (5'8/G/'26/Marbury)

Easton is a scrappy guard who embodies toughness. He is one of just three seniors on the roster, as he plays hard-nosed defense, isn't afraid to hit the floor for loose balls, and has shown growth as both a shooter and a playmaker. Look for Easton to be one of the seniors to set the tone for Marbury's work ethic and culture.

Conner is a talented young guard who has moved up from JV to the varsity squad this season. While Coach Turner rarely places middle school or 9th-grade players on Varsity unless absolutely necessary, Conner earned this opportunity through his skill and maturity on the court. He joins a group of JV standouts promoted to Varsity, including Reginald “CJ” Cook (6'0/G'28), Carter Bolden (6'0/F/'28), and D'Anthony Smith (6'3/F/'28), all of whom are poised to be key contributors in the coming years. Additionally, sophomores Eli Cade (6'2/F/'28) and Bryce Esslinger (6'6/C/'28) round out the class of JV-to-Varsity players. Conner's development and performance this season will be one to watch as he adapts to the varsity level and begins to carve out a significant role for himself in the Marbury program.

Aden is a promising addition to the program who, despite a series of nagging injuries last season, has been actively involved in the team and is ready to make his impact felt. He brings versatility to the backcourt and allows the Bulldogs to implement a three-guard lineup, which fits perfectly with Coach Turner's preferred style of play. Once fully healthy, Aden has the potential to be one of the team's most dynamic players, combining scoring, playmaking, and leadership. His dedication to recovery and skill development makes him an exciting player to watch this season and for the future of Marbury Basketball.

Marbury basketball will once again be built on defense. The Bulldogs will look to pressure opponents, force tempo, and convert defense into offense through layups, free throws, and open threes. Expect a fast-paced style with emphasis on controlling possessions and creating efficient scoring opportunities. With a balanced mix of returning leaders and promising new contributors, the Bulldogs are shaping up as a tough out for anyone they face.

What Will It Take for The Bulldogs To Win State?

For Marbury, the formula is simple: stay healthy, stay disciplined, and play unselfishly. The roster is young but full of talent and upside. If the Bulldogs continue to buy into their identity, lean on their leadership, and play as a unit, the ceiling is sky-high. With players like Brown, Hall, and Trotter leading the charge, this team has the potential to make noise well beyond their area. The Bulldogs are primed for a fun, competitive season and if everything clicks, a run at state is within reach.
