The 2025 Prep Hoops Carolinas Freshman Showcase and Top 250 Expo were held in Rock Hill, South Carolina on Saturday. This is one of the best days of the year because there were over 150 of the best prospects from North Carolina and South Carolina competing under one roof. Take a look at my Freshman Showcase Team 2 Evaluations:

#46 [player_tooltip player_id='2856553' first='Ryan' last='Curry'] (Bishop England) - Leading off my evaluations of Team 2 is [player_tooltip player_id='2856553' first='Ryan' last='Curry']. Curry was a key offensive presence for this squad because of his advanced ability to handle, pass, and shoot the ball. Keep an eye out for my Freshman Favorites Article for a deeper breakdown on Curry's game.

#381 [player_tooltip player_id='2957759' first='AJ' last='Cureton II'] (Nation Ford) - After the monster 8th Grade Season he had, I was eager to see AJ for the first time at the Freshman Showcase. Curenton is a quick and shifty Guard who looks to create shots off the dribble with good vision and skilled scoring.

#393 [player_tooltip player_id='2957399' first='Kass' last='Williams'] (Christ Church) - Williams is a two-sport athlete who could have an instant impact on the hardwood and the diamond for the Cavaliers. Kass is a knockdown three-point shooter, an attribute that will earn him minutes because of how it provides space for other Guards to work.

#560 [player_tooltip player_id='2892794' first='Rollins' last='Stalvey'] (Greenville) - Despite not being as big as some of the other players on Team 2, Stalvey was one of their more productive rebounders. He provided a key element of scrappiness with boxouts, active hands, and hustle for loose balls, as well as some nice finishing on the other end.

#625 [player_tooltip player_id='2959827' first='Kam' last='Choice'] (Sumter) - Kam looks to be an early candidate for top athlete in South Carolina's 2029 Class. His physical gifts were on full display, as he used his length to protect the rim, his strength to play through contact, and his athleticism to finish at the rim.

#632 [player_tooltip player_id='2537763' first='Kamden' last='Rice'] (Wren) - Rice is another member of this stacked Team 2 that will be right at the top when our 2029 Rankings debut. Kamden already has a lot of great qualities, including mid-range and perimeter shooting, a very quick crossover, and lots of competitiveness.

#673 [player_tooltip player_id='2958081' first='shaurya' last='rawat'] (Panther Creek) - Shaurya is a versatile Guard out of Panther Creek HS in North Carolina. He impressed in Rock Hill with his ability to play on ball and make plays for his teammates, or spot-up off ball and knock down jump shots, or slash to the rim.

#889 [player_tooltip player_id='2956782' first='Mj' last='Thomas'] (Lejune) - Rounding out the list is the second NC prospect on this list, [player_tooltip player_id='2956782' first='Mj' last='Thomas']. With his major size advantage, Thomas was able to dominate the glass and finish easy opportunities at the rim. Keep an eye out for my Freshman Favorites Article for a deeper breakdown on Thomas' game.
