District 2-4A will be won by Maryville High thanks in part to District MVP [player_tooltip player_id='2358309' first='Jonathan' last='Woodlee']. Though he shared the honor with Caden Windle as a sophomore, Woodlee will win the 2026 MVP outright.

[player_tooltip player_id='2358309' first='Jonathan' last='Woodlee'] / Senior / Maryville / Point Guard
Lee University (TN) was [player_tooltip player_id='2358309' first='Jonathan' last='Woodlee']'s first offer. Woodlee consistently creates with the dribble. This season he could be even more aggressive as a scorer. The team enjoys plenty of experience but lacks volume scorers other than Woodlee. The tall guard was a Co-District MVP in 2024 when MHS advanced the State Tournament.

Parker might lead SCHS in scoring now that [player_tooltip player_id='2136958' first='Jayden' last='Barton'] transferred to Gatlinburg-Pittman. Nobody will outmuscle [player_tooltip player_id='2358523' first='Parker' last='Newman'] for rebounds either.

[player_tooltip player_id='2623856' first='Eli' last='Owensby'] / Senior / Maryville / Guard
Combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='2623856' first='Eli' last='Owensby'] earned All-District honors in both 2024 and 2025. "For us he is probably the most important player we have because he can guard the 1-5 and loves taking on the other team's best player," said Maryville Head Coach Wes Lambert. "Last year, he was in a funk in his jump shot. He has regained confidence in his stroke. I think Sig, Woodlee, and Eli are going to explode this year. Last year we struggled with getting guys to buy in to unselfish play. In our new district I think there is no doubt he is All-District and might battle for MVP."

[player_tooltip player_id='2934631' first='Brody' last='Carr'] / Senior / Jefferson County / Off-Guard
Lefty pitcher [player_tooltip player_id='2934631' first='Brody' last='Carr'] can hoop too. Look for Carr to star on the court this winter all while enjoying college baseball offers. Earned All-State (baseball) in the spring. Carr is surprisingly strong for his lean frame. Can handle and slash. Rebounds better than most.
