On Saturday, August 17th, I attended Emmanuel College's prospect camp. There were about 40 prospects in the building, and below are the 6 that stood out to me.

There were certainly other college-level players there, but these were the guys who I noticed the most.

Walker was likely Emmanuel Camp's most skilled player. The 5-foot-11 guard has the ball on a string and uses change of speed dribbles quite well to burst past his defender and get paint touches. Once he gets there, he makes really smart passes and can hit the floater or finish with both hands at the cup. He's just a fundamental basketball player who knows how to run your team, can play on and off the ball, and will give his all on the defensive end. Walker should be a star for Newtown HS this season and will find a D3 fit after that. Added strength would be huge for him.

If there's someone competing with Walker for most skilled player at camp, it's McBournie. The 6-foot guard has a beautiful pull up jumper and consistently picked spots on the floor to elevate at and score from. He also showed some really nice passing instincts; he was finding cutters left and right and set up the defense with his eyes and pass fakes time and time again. He also was one of the better shooters at camp, hitting tons of threes off of the catch and dribble. He's a D3 guy who should be a star at Trinity HS this season.

Fletcher was an honorable mention for me at Curry's camp, but he definitely could've been higher after watching him this weekend. The 6-foot-1 guard is an absolute sniper from the mid range and has a real knack for scoring from there; he's always controlled and balanced with his dribble and can stop at any moment for pull ups. His release is also ULTRA quick. Fletcher also has solid athleticism at the rim and a good finishing bag, and he should be a star for Milton HS this season.

Williams probably has more potential than anyone else at Emmanuel camp. The 6-foot-3 wing has really solid athleticism and knows how to use it to finish at the hoop. He can score with both hands in the paint, and he has very solid toughness and a quick second jump. He also has a nice looking shot from long range and is a really willing passer when it comes to playing within the flow of an offense. Williams is a rising junior at St. Andrews and should be able to find a D3 fit by the time his career is over. This year will be BIG for his development.

Stamm really impressed me with his strength and control at the rim. On possession after possession, the 6-foot-1 guard bullied his way to the hoop by keeping his line and bodying smaller (or larger) players. He knows how to use his body with slow steps and strong moves with his shoulders, and he has a knack for finishing in a variety of ways around the paint. Stamm was a Bay State all star for Newton North last season, and he'll be a captain this season for a Tigers squad that's rebuilding without their legendary coach Paul Connolly.

Fletcher has a lot of the skills that his twin brother, Bryce, has. However, there seems to be an athletic ceiling that Cole can get to and Bryce can't. Cole absolutely flies to the rim on drives and has some really ridiculous hang time once he gets there; the 6-foot-1 guard dunked on a big man towards the end of the day, and the entire gym went crazy. His shot from three is solid, too, and he can handle the rock. Cole and his brother should be a big time 1-2 punch in the MIAA this season for Milton HS and could make major waves.
