This past weekend, I attended the Zero Gravity Live Finale at Dana Barros Basketball Club in Stoughton, MA. I watched mostly games from the varsity division, though I saw some other games as well.

As always, it's impossible to see every team and player. Just because you aren't written up doesn't mean you didn't have a great weekend — it's just hard to get a chance to watch everybody.

I'll be having coverage throughout the week recapping the event.

Green was a walking paint touch when I watched him on Saturday morning for his Mass Huskies squad. The 6-foot lefty might as well have told everybody he was driving left, because they still wouldn't have been able to stop him. He stays so low to the ground on his dribble moves and uses his off hand to dissuade opposing guards from reaching in. He also has nice touch with both his left and right hands at the cup, and a variety of hook shots in his arsenal. He also hit multiple three pointers off the catch. I would imagine Green will be a key cog for Fitchburg High School this coming season and could develop into a nice D3 player when the time comes.

Ebika initially looks like an undersized big — he's 6-foot-3 with very long arms and a super strong body for his age — but the more you watch him play, the more you realize he has some budding guard skills. The rising junior can put the ball on the floor and attack the rim in a straight line, and he has solid hands and strength in the paint once he gets there. He also has some nice touch in the lane and a knack for coming up with offensive rebounds and loose balls. I wouldn't be surprised if he continues to develop physically and eventually finds his way onto a prep school roster and then a D3 roster.

Djabome is only a rising junior but was playing up in the varsity division this weekend and looked more than comfortable. The 6-foot-1 guard can really handle the ball and operate in the pick and roll, and he found success shooting it from deep when the defense went under on screens. He also played with great toughness and physicality on the defensive end and did not look like he was remotely overwhelmed by the strength or size of older players. If I had to guess, I would say Djabome will be a D3 player or somewhere around that level when the time comes, but a couple more inches could intrigue some scholarship schools.

Grudzien was easily Rhode Island Magic's best player this weekend and really impressed me with his point guard abilities as both a scorer and a passer. He has great strength and quickness for his size, and he can shoot the ball from the mid range and three. He's so solid as a ball handler and makes the right play again and again, even if it doesn't earn him anything in the stat sheet. Grudzien will have a tough time playing scholarship ball if he doesn't grow, but he's a definite D3 player, probably at a pretty high level. So skilled and fundamentally sound and I really enjoyed watching him.

Oliver ran the point guard for OBF and did a great job making decisions throughout the weekend. The 6-foot-1 guard has really good positional length and uses it to hound opposing ball handlers all game. His length, combined with his lateral quickness and toughness, make him a really intriguing perimeter defender. Offensively, he handles the ball well and can make shots from the outside, and he's a solid passer when the defense collapses on him in the paint. I wouldn't be surprised to see Oliver find a college fit in a couple of years, and he should be a key player for Acton Boxborough this season.
