The Tune Up in Texas had six prospects that caught my eye essentially excelling in their roles throughout the weekend. In this article I will identifying the prospects that did the best in their roles in the 16U division.

Michael Ackerman showcased his impressive decision-making and shooting skills throughout his game against the Texan Elite 16U. He effortlessly created space from his defenders, particularly in the mid-range, allowing him to shoot from various spots on the court. His shooting touch made him a formidable threat throughout the game.

Jordan Magee spot up shooting was an evident strength of his offensively has he had many games being a threat on the perimeter. After defensive stops Jordan was on constant attack mode against the opposing defense in the open floor which helped the LA Clippers offense flow at times. Defensively Jordan had many deflections along with active hands on the ball.

Jachin Kennedy is a formidable shooter who takes aggressive shots from the perimeter. In the 16U division, he stood out as one of the best shooters overall, sinking numerous threes. However, it's important to note that he's not someone you should frequently give open shots to, as he has a reliable shooting stroke with his left hand. I particularly appreciated his ability to move without the ball in his hands during half-court and transition situations, which helped him get himself open for shots.

Preston Rainey's passing ability was truly impressive throughout the weekend. As the point guard, he played a pivotal role in finding open teammates and making accurate passes. In transition, he had the most significant impact on his team, finishing plays swiftly. Additionally, he was vocal at times, which added to his overall effectiveness.

Blake Wilson was a standout player for several reasons. His defense on the ball was crucial to his team's success against the LA Clippers. On offense, he demonstrated his ability to spot up from the perimeter, making numerous shots from that area. Additionally, he frequently distributed the ball to his teammates, especially in transition situations.

Austin Hardin's spot-up shooting was a significant factor in Showtime Elite 2028's victory. Despite being 6'3”, he managed to get his shots over defenders closing out, which surprisingly didn't affect his accuracy. During the half-court transition, he skillfully exploited his opportunities to find holes in the defense and capitalize on them. I was thoroughly impressed by his offensive prowess throughout the game.
