S7/Cali Live: 2027 Standouts: Part-2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>June 20-22 I attended the annual&nbsp;<strong>Section-7&nbsp;</strong>at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa and I attended the&nbsp;<strong>Cali Live</strong>&nbsp;tournament June 27-29 in at the Open Gym Premier Sports Complex in Ladera Ranch.CA.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Both events were live periods where college coaches sometimes were standing room only watching certain teams and players.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Here were some of the 2027 Standouts: Part-2</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2681056' first='Camden' last='Lauterbach'] Hamilton (Pictured) </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A face-up forward who can play both spots up front. He is very skilled and will rattle in threes off the catch. He smartly cuts off the ball and will score it around the basket. He rebounds well in his area and will make smart passes to teammates. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2574815' first='Garrison' last='Bambolo'] Willow Canyon </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A bigger wing forward who will score getting downhill to the basket with a nice handle for position and some vertical pop. He will face-up and shoot it from the perimeter and he is a good passer up the court. He will rebound and block multiple shots.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2140875' first='Demarcus' last='Henry'] AZ Compass Prep</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A Mater Dei HS product is a bigger wing forward who can score and defend. He can hit the three, he takes very long strides to get to the basket and can iso score and cross his man over. He is super active around the rim with a high feel for the game to make a play. He rebounds well and will block shots.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2173760' first='Keaundre' last='Morris'] Dream City Christian</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A Rainier Beach HS product is a scoring lead guard who is a straight bucket with polished floaters, off the dribble and off the catch threes. He changes speeds and gets downhill with either hand and he just manages to get to his spots. He is shifty and can make a play. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1986797' first='Jase' last='Benjamin'] San Tan Charter</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A powerful wing forward is a two-way player. He will rebound at a high level for position and block shots plus collect steals in bunches. He will score with threes, mid-range jumpers and he is an above the rim finisher thru the contact.&nbsp;He is also a good passer. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2297437' first='Dylan' last='Vargas'] San Tan Charter</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An athletic power forward with feel and upside. He will score with rip thrus to the basket and he handles contact well with and-1's with either hand and often earns trips to the free throw line. He is a great passer like a point power forward and will block shots. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2109038' first='Nate' last='Tainsky'] Hamilton </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring guard with one of the easier shooting strokes from the three point line in the junior class locally. He has a little size and he gets the ball out of his hands in a blink of an eye. He makes good reads and will be relied upon this season and next year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2146242' first='Cooper' last='Frakes'] Brophy Prep</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A tough combo guard is your classic 3 and D type. He will defend multiple positions on the perimeter with his stronger upper body frame, decent size, length and toughness. He will score with bursts to the basket and catch and shoot from the three. His toughness and IQ shine in every game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2257790' first='Nicholas' last='Topolosek'] Liberty </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A combo guard plays on or off the ball during the game. He is one of the top sharp shooters in the junior class with top level mid-range jumpers with high elevation off the dribble and threes off the catch. He has good upper body strength and some burst to get to the basket to score. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
