June 20-22 I attended the annual Section-7 at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa and I attended the Cali Live tournament June 27-29 in at the Open Gym Premier Sports Complex in Ladera Ranch.CA.

Both events were live periods where college coaches sometimes were standing room only watching certain teams and players.

Here were some of the 2026 PG Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='2107122' first='Sami' last='Sibai'] Notre Dame Prep

A pure point guard who handles the heavy ball pressure. His stronger upper body frame allows him to get downhill and score thru the contact. He has plus court vision and will make some tough bail out passes and he can hit the three off the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1490239' first='Daylen' last='Sharper'] Brophy Prep

The biggest point guard in the class will be taking his talents to Stanford for football but is pretty impressive for basketball. He will score with post ups, downhill takes and he is a great rebounder for a guard boxing his taller man out. He will make some next level passes and he is a tough on-ball defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1482211' first='Noah' last='Gloor'] Higley

A tough undersized scoring point guard is a shot maker. He is quick to get into the paint and use the floater game or score thru the contact. His best attribute is his three point shooting with deep range and a quick trigger. He moves the ball well but when it swings back to him, he will be firing away.

[player_tooltip player_id='1591734' first='TJ' last='Harris'] Liberty (Pictured)

One of the quickest point guards in the class. He has one of the top first steps to get into the lane to score or make a play. He will score with sharp mid-range pull-ups and once he is close inside. he will score with step thrus or up and unders. He is quick on the ball defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='1323292' first='Joseph' last='Lindsey Jr'] Carl Hayden

Another quick on quick point guard plays off of the pick and roll game to a T. He is super shifty to create the separation and get to the basket or will rise up from mid-range. He will hit the three off the catch when given a little space and then slice thru the defense to make plays with pinpoint passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2145741' first='Elias' last='Riley'] Deer Valley

A good sized scoring point guard who can make plays, defend and score. He has an impressive burst to get into the paint and uses advanced body control to score around the hoop. He uses his length, speed and size to keep his opponents in front of him and will shoot it from the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1323290' first='Mason' last='Magee'] Basha

The fast and athletic point guard seems to get to any spot on the court he wants and controls the tempo of the game. He makes plays for his teammates and his defense is tenacious on the ball. He will hit the deep three and his mid-range pull-up is becoming his weapon of choice. He will rebound, collect steals and even block shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1574517' first='Jaylin' last='Ideran'] Sunnyslope

With Delton Prescott nursing an injury, Jaylin got the start in one of the games I viewed. He takes care of the ball and makes plays plus scores. He will fill it up with mid-range pull-ups and burst to the basket for the two. He has quick feet to defend and rebounds well for a guard. He will be a vital part of the teams success with rare depth in the AIA.
