Courtlon Young is an easy pick for an elite guard in the State. In a tough game vs Ruston he was the mismatch that could not be contained. He orchestrated a skillful game by scoring at will and constantly setting up his team mates to score in rhythm. He was able to maintain the pace of the game and control the offense and score from every spot on the court. His skill is undeniable and he is a sure fire stock riser in the deep 2026 class.     Matthews repeatedly made big plays throughout the JSE Event, showcasing his elite skills as both a playmaker and a scorer. He's a confident three-point shooter, an elite mid-range scorer, and can finish at the rim with either hand. His versatile skill set translates seamlessly to the next level, thanks to his prime physical attributes and natural basketball instincts. With a strong grasp of the game, Matthews is poised to make a significant impact this season and beyond, establishing himself as a player to watch at the next level. His length and strong frame allow him to finish through contact and make him a constant downhill threat. He looks like a college-level athlete right now, consistently displaying speed, athleticism, and excellent pacing in every game. While he's a solid mid-range shooter, Matthews prefers attacking the rim and putting pressure on the defense. One of the best guards at the JSE Event, his talent and versatility will undoubtedly earn him opportunities to compete at the next level.     A true do-it-all player, Young demonstrated his elite skill level in multiple facets of the game. As a floor general, Manny consistently makes smart, high-IQ plays and leads with confidence and poise. He can shoot from anywhere on the court with ease and plays with a natural leadership presence. Relentless on both ends, he works just as hard defensively as he does offensively, never taking a play off. An intense competitor with a strong basketball personality, Manny is continuously improving and developing his game. With his work ethic and skill set, he's poised to be one of the top guards in the 2027 class for years to come.     Beaulieu is the best freshman point guard I've seen this summer. Playing for one of the top teams in the state, earning minutes as an underclassman can be tough, but he's active in every moment. In a close game against Ruston, he made big play after big play, showcasing why he's a supreme point guard for his class. He can hit the three, drive to get both feet in the lane, and create like a seasoned vet as well as finish. With his creativity, consistency, and skill, he's destined to be fun to watch over the next four years. The sky's the limit for this young hoops talent—rare to see that level of polish from a freshman on such a big stage.
