The PrepHoopsTN Summer Combine (2025) featured ambitious hoopers, predominately from the classes of 2026-2028. For the rest of the summer, we will be featuring the campers with evaluations and measurements from the day, June 22nd, 2025.

Charlie Simmons Charlie Simmons Charlie Simmons 6'1" | SG/SF Notre Dame | 2028 State TN | 6'1" SG | Notre Dame | 2028

How did he measure against the competition?

  • Class of 2028
  • 6'1" SG
  • Wingspan -- 5'11"
  • 3/4 Court Sprint -- 3.51, 3.46
  • Lane Agility -- 12.19, 12.17
  • Hand Span -- 8.0"
  • Hand Length -- 7.5"
  • Camp Ranking -- #19
  • State Ranking -- Top 125

Needs to add good weight and strength in the chest/shoulders. Sophomore guard Charlie Simmons Charlie Simmons Charlie Simmons 6'1" | SG/SF Notre Dame | 2028 State TN posted the event's eighth and ninth fastest Lane Agility times, which reflect exceptional change of direction and quick feet laterally. Adept perimeter defending gets players on the floor young and keeps them on the floor throughout. It is arguably THE most important guard quality. Charlie Simmons Charlie Simmons Charlie Simmons 6'1" | SG/SF Notre Dame | 2028 State TN did not pose enough of a threat when playing off of the ball. Senior Daniel Wigginton Daniel Wigginton Daniel Wigginton 6'2" | PG/SG Berean Academy | 2026 State TN guarded him without expending much energy largely because Simmons was static and inactive. Ideally, Charlie would be switching the floor, or screening. Even cutting. Making the defender defend helps everybody. Plays AAU with Chattanooga Elite .

Pritchett Norwood Pritchett Norwood Pritchett Norwood 6'0" | SF/CG McCallie | 2028 State TN | 6'0" SF | McCallie | 2028

How did he measure against the competition?

  • Class of 2028
  • 6'0" Small Forward
  • Wingspan -- 5'10 1/4"
  • Hand Span -- 8.75"
  • Hand Height -- 7.5"
  • 3/4 Court Sprint -- 3.55, 3.41
  • Lane Agility -- 12.95, 12.47
  • Camp Ranking -- #22
  • State Ranking -- Top 120
Needs better straightline speed. Specifically, Norwood needs to get faster in defensive transition. Very strong legs. Strong hips. Eager passer. Understands spacing. Norwood was always catch-ready and he moved smartly away from the ball. Plays AAU with Chattanooga Elite .

Porter Dickson Porter Dickson Porter Dickson 6'3" | SG/SF Bearden | 2028 State TN | 6'2 3/4" SG | Bearden | 2028

How did he measure against the competition?

  • Class of 2028
  • 6'2 3/4" Shooting Guard
  • Wingspan -- 6'2"
  • 3/4 Court Sprint -- 3.51, 3.47
  • Lane Agility -- 12.70, 13.00
  • Hand Span -- 8.0"
  • Hand Length -- 7.75"
  • @PrepHoopsTN Combine All-Star
  • Camp Ranking -- #8
  • State Ranking -- Top 40

Good guard height. Confident. Needs to improve his change of direction. Plyometrics is ideal for developing agility. Winner. The first half of the day Porter was the best outside shooter. He cooled off late, but still earned All-Star Game placement. The only offensive worry with Porter is...if his shot is not falling, then how is impacting winning? Is he going rebound? Is he going to drive with the dribble. Make an incisive pass. His game has to become more well-rounded. Showcase events tend to bring out the individual and not the team player, but Porter plays for a great program. How can he help them win? With his nearly elite shooting touch Dickson should focus on getting to the FT line often in his sophomore season.

Joshua Sain Joshua Sain Joshua Sain 6'4" | SF/PF Liberty Tech | 2026 State TN | 6'3" SG | Liberty Magnet | 2026

How did he measure against the competition?

  • Class of 2026
  • 6'3" Shooting Guard
  • Wingspan -- 6'5"
  • Lane Agility -- 12.99, 12.25
  • 3/4 Court Sprint -- 3.31, 3.13
  • Hand Span -- 9.0"
  • Hand Height -- 9.0"
  • @PrepHoopsTN Combine All-Star
  • Camp Ranking -- #3
  • State Ranking -- Top 85

Good height for the position. Excellent wingspan for a 2-guard. Sain attacked effectively and did not make mistakes of over-aggression. Efficient player. Unselfish. Balanced offensive player. Projects as a capable rebounder.

Tony Burton Jr. Tony Burton Jr. Tony Burton Jr. 5'11" | PG McCallie | 2028 State TN | 5'11 1/2" PG | McCallie | 2028

How did he measure against the competition?

  • Class of 2028
  • 5'11 1/2" Point Guard
  • Wingspan -- 6'3 1/4"
  • Hand Span -- 9.25"
  • Hand Height -- 8.5"
  • 3/4 Court Sprint -- 3.41, 3.21
  • Lane Agility -- 11.96, 11.35
  • @PrepHoopsTN Combine All-Star
  • Camp Ranking -- #5
  • State Ranking -- Top 35

Explosive. Elite change of direction. Easy riser. Athlete. Not necessarily a point guard. More combo. Wonderful wingspan for a nearly 6' guard. Tied for third-biggest hands of the event (9.25" x 8.5"). Outside shooting needs work. He was virtually impossible to keep out of the lane at this event.
