On July 12, 2025, the Beaverton Hoop YMCA was the place to be for the HoopSource “Portland Rise” Tournament. This list is part one of top performers from the Portland Rise on Saturday. We watched several games today, and these are a few of our top players.

Mekhi Muhammad (2025 Grant/Oregon Tripl3) - In our opinion, Muhammad is one of the top unsigned seniors still available in the state of Oregon. Mekhi was hard to stop; he showed his ability to be a three-level scorer and key playmaker in the half-court. Muhammad helped lead Oregon Tripl3 to an early morning win against i-Ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1602195' first='Lucas' last='Moreira'] (2026 Roosevelt/Oregon Tripl3) - Moreira, a 6-foot-2 combo guard, is one of the top athletic guards we saw today at the Portland Rise. He displayed his unique quickness and leaping ability to create opportunities in transition. Lucas also provided some high-flying circus shots at the rim, which got the crowd excited.

Mason Zampko (2026 Redmond/Three Peaks Elite) - Mason Zampko, a 6-foot-1 dual-sport athlete out of Redmond HS, showcased his nice touch around the basket. Zampko, alongside his teammates from Three Peaks Elite, led a high-paced style of play. Mason scored 15 points in their win against La Center.

Mason Chambers (2025 Mountain View/Three Peaks Elite) - Chambers, a Shasta College commit, was a do-it-all player today at the Portland Rise. He's a 6-foot-2 guard who has a good handle and knocked down some important mid-range shots when his team needed them most. Mason also demonstrated his ability to play calmly and in control.

[player_tooltip player_id='2575674' first='James' last='Hill'] (2026 Caldera/Three Peaks Elite) - Hill played an energetic game that was fun to watch. We loved his enthusiasm and commitment to helping his team win. He loves to score, and that was evident with his 13 points in Three Peak's win against La Center. He's surely going to be on our radar as one of the top guards in the Intermountain Conference this coming season.

Jae'Lyn Smith (2028 Reynolds/Uptown) - We only saw Jae'Lyn for a limited time today, but he did impress with his ability to shoot the ball. As a 6-foot shooting guard, Smith showcased his range and confidence to pull up from far behind the 3-point line.
