As the calendar turns to July, AAU Basketball is back and prospects across the country return to their respective teams for the next month. My first stop of the month was the Big Shots Southeast Jam in Rock Hill, South Carolina. These are the six New Names for me to monitor from the Big Shots Southeast Jam.

Headlining the list of New Names to Monitor from Saturday in Rock Hill is Palmetto Pride's [player_tooltip player_id='2896365' first='Josh' last='Pendergrass']. I was a big fan of what Josh showed coming off the bench in the Round One win over Big Shots West Virginia. He is exactly what a good team needs in a backup PG - a guy who will come in and keep the offense running smoothly. He does so with a deceptive change of pace, good vision to find teammates, and activity to create turnovers on defense. Pendergrass put up 4 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals in the win.

Isaiah is another 2028 PG who I will be keeping up with after this weekend. Despite losing to the eventual 15U Champions in Round One, Mabry had some nice moments at both ends. He opened the game with a pair of assists, finding a teammate in transition and on a drive. Later, he knocked down a left-wing three, had a tough left-handed layup, and often beat defenders off the dribble with his quickness. Isaiah also had a couple of nice plays defensively, including a strong strip of a big man. He finished with 7 points and 3 assists in the game.

Next up on the list is the [program_tooltip program_id='2246675' first='Charleston' last='Raptors']' [player_tooltip player_id='2896381' first='Reggie' last='Dozier']. He is a true bucket getter, capable of creating his own shot at all three levels. Reggie has a creative handle to make space, including crossovers, spin-moves, stepbacks, and gathers. However, he doesn't waste his dribble often, and he looks like he knows what he wants to do when he gets the ball. Dozier excelled in the mid-range, knocking down several crafty jumpers off the bounce in a matchup with the Force. He finished with 13 points in the win.

Caleb had a strong scoring outing for the Fort Mill Force despite a loss on Saturday. He worked really hard early to finish in the paint and set up his teammates. Tooper displayed his vision with the ball, activity off the ball, soft touch, and strength through contact. Despite not having a major size advantage, he lived in the paint and was very efficient with his touches. Caleb finished with 17 points in the game, but the development of a consistent three-point shot could add another level to his game and make him a complete scorer.

McCall is the first of two North Carolina Names on the list. Tylik isn't flashy from a size or athleticism standpoint, but he has a knack for putting the ball in the basket. He can do so in the paint in many ways, including with either hand, soft touch on push shots, a mid-range game, and a decent handle. He has great feet, which provide a great foundation for his game. McCall also has a great feel for his pump fake, which he can use to keep defenders off balance. Tylik put up a game-high 25 points in a win over Triple Threat.

Rounding out the New Names to Monitor from the Big Shots Southeast Jam is Legend Stevens. He is your prototype Floor General Point Guard who makes his teammates better on both ends of the floor. On defense, Legend is fundamentally sound with good hand and feet, activity in help, strong box outs, and the desire to get loose balls. On offense, Stevens sees the floor really well to start breaks, runs pick-and-roll, finds cutters, and has a solid outside shot. He went for 5 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals in a big win over Big Shots Select.
