James Frazier (Grandview): A 6'0" point guard who really knew how to change the pace of play when he entered the game. He really got things popping with his speed and quickness as he quickened the tempo. Even while playing fast, he was making good decisions and finding teammates with his very good court vision.

[player_tooltip player_id='2966396' first='Raife' last='Smith'] (Mid Buchanan): An athletic 6'1" combo guard who was a Class 3 All-State performer last season. He's physically strong and he loves to dance with the ball in iso situations where he can break down defenders with an array of escape moves. He does a nice job of getting to his spots for pull up jumpers and he can also get into the lane and seek contact with his strength. He elevates well on his mid-range jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id='2966405' first='Quincy' last='Mayfield'] (Monroe City): A 5'9" combo guard who is one of the top players in the Northeast part of the state. He may not be very tall, but he has a solid build and he is very strong. He is a standout running back on the football field. He is a tough cover because he is a three-level scorer who is tough to keep out of the lane off the downhill dribble. Combine that with his 3-point shooting ability and he is a difficult player to defend.

[player_tooltip player_id='1910830' first='Phoenix' last='Johnson'] (Lee's Summit West): A 5'10" point guard who has good quickness and a keen ability to handle the offense. He handles the ball well and he keeps everyone involved with his ability to distribute. He gets his teammates the ball in the areas where they can score. When it is time to be assertive on offense, he is able to create his own shot off the dribble to get a bucket.

JJ Huskisson (Willard): A 5'11" guard from the SWMO area who has good athleticism and quickness. He does a good job of staying low on the dribble as he gets downhill into the lane. He distributes the ball well and he is fully capable of scoring in the lane or off the pull up jumper. He can also go into the post and use his strength to score inside against opposing guards.

Jordan Dean (Lee's Summit West): A 5'11" combo guard who can run the point, but he also plays well off the ball as a scoring guard. He can create his own shot off the dribble with his quickness and handles. He also operates well without the ball as he sets up defenders and moves well off screens to hit perimeter jumpers.

Blake Meyers (Lee's Summit): A 6'1" guard who had quite a performance in the game that I watched him on the final day of the event. He had close to 20 points in the first half alone and he did it in a variety of ways. He was lighting it up from long distance as he hit one 3-pointer after another. He also did a nice job getting to the mid-range area and he could also finish in the lane off the drive.

Tate Kreisel (St. Paul Lutheran/Concordia): A 5'11" point guard who was a Class 2 All-State player last season. He plays at his own pace on offense as he is very crafty on the dribble. He works his way into the lane and is very good at creating contact and getting to the free throw line. He is also a very reliable 3-point shooter.

Mason Nester (North Andrew): A 6'0" point guard from the NWMO area who is one of the top returning players from a Class 1 district championship team. He has solid handles and he can get to his spots to hit the pull up jumper. He is also a capable shooter from 3-point range.

Jayvion Hunter (Capital City): A 6'0 combo guard who is quick and has good defensive instincts. He plays the passing lanes well and he made good rotations. On offense, he came off a down screen to hit a 3-pointer, which was pretty smooth.

Rashaad McDonald (Carl Junction): A 6'2 guard who played the game with a smooth, slashing style. He could slither in the lane for layups as he maneuvered through traffic with a nice Euro-step. He was also active on defense on the top of the zone press.
