Prep Hoops was in the house over the weekend in Indy for the National Open Championships. These were the Indiana 2026 prospects that left the biggest impression on me with their play at the event.

Jashawn Ladd (Indiana Basketball Club)

Ladd was probably my favorite player at the event and he attracted a lot of attention from college coaches. The first thing that stands out is his freakish athleticism. One of the premier athletes at the event that threw down massive dunks in a variety of ways. Explosive slasher off the bounce and had a quick second jump getting on the offensive glass. Long and athletic wing is a bit of a streaky shooter at this stage. Flashed some passing and defensive developmental upside.

[player_tooltip player_id='2024513' first='Nick' last='Shrewsberry'] (Indiana Basketball Club)

Schrewsberry brought it in both games we saw. He is a wing with good positional size along with the ability to impact on both ends of the floor. Excellent spot up shooter especially from the corners being able to pour them in at a high rate. Like how well he rebounds, passes, and can deck it well off the bounce. Has a very well-rounded game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2452919' first='Sherman' last='Moss'] (Indiana Basketball Club)

Moss is a two guard from IBC that was very good on Saturday when we saw him. He is a quality athlete that has a knack for getting to his spots rising up in the mid-range. Can post up against weaker defenders and plays above the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2843570' first='Jamar' last='Thomas'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2400000' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Indiana'])

Thomas is a shooting guard that excelled scoring in the lane with crafty takes in the half court and got loose in the transition game. Solid passing feel for an off guard as a connector. Scores the majority of his points in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='2399375' first='Keaton' last='Lawson'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2400000' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Indiana'])

Lawson is super intriguing with a long and lanky frame. Creative ball handler tht played quite a bit on the ball at his size. Most impressive play came when he swatted a three point attempt then threw down a slam. Got to the line at a good clip where he made free throws. Streaky shooter, but shoots a good ball and is solid from the line so should continue to improve here. A lot of upside here!

[player_tooltip player_id='1297034' first='Hudson' last='Horvath'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''])

Horvath is a high-motor and athletic guard for [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] that was very productive. Acrobatic finishes in the lane for reverse layups. Quickness in tight spaces getting through the defense. Can hit a three on occasion as well.

Dayton Stephens ([program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''])

Stephens is a super bouncy four man that threw down some big dunks including a massive two handed slam. Long and lanky forward that is super explosive with his second jump on the offensive glass. Definitely has long strides covering ground in the open floor. Sweeping slashes and did knock in a three in the game we saw.

[player_tooltip player_id='2829424' first='Tevin' last='Bridgwaters'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076162' first='Team' last='Blaze Select'])

Bridgwaters is a tough and gritty post who is efficient around the hoop. Finishes out of the dunker spot, gets on the offensive glass for put backs, and has a nice hook shot. Nose for the basketball and rebounds at a high rate on both ends.

[player_tooltip player_id='2141012' first='Nathan' last='Walker'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076162' first='Team' last='Blaze Select'])

Walker is a two guard that shot it well from the perimeter knocking down shots off the catch. Solid all-around player that can pass it as a secondary playmaker and get to the rack in transition.
