With July wrapping up let's take a look at some of the teams that made The Top 10 heading into August.

June's Top 10

#1 Lone Peak, #2 Layton. #3 Davis, #4 American Fork, #5 Bingham, #6 Corner Canyon, #7 Herriman, #8 Lehi, #9 Skyridge, #10 Westlake.

July's High School Top 10

#1 Davis

Davis has had some showings with out their roster at full force and they still looked great. You can see that they are trying to figure out some end of the bench rotations. Not sure if they will keep every senior because they have some young talent that should see the floor but that is something that will work itself out. [player_tooltip player_id='1278451' first='JT' last='Turley'] is an underrated player up there and he will have moments where he can take over completely. Luckily he won't have to do it alone as he is joined by one of the best guards in his class in [player_tooltip player_id='1611276' first='Bode' last='Sparrow']. Sparrow like Turley has take over ability but with an offense that gets the ball moving they will have weapons all over the floor. The Darts have also added transfer [player_tooltip player_id='2539677' first='Cameron' last='Brower']. Brower comes over from Farmington and he will gobble up a starting spot no doubt. He is a 6'4 do it all wing that can hurt you from deep but also use that athleticism to attack the glass. Brower will play along side of [player_tooltip player_id='2347358' first='Tradon' last='Bessinger'] another very talented athlete that will do whatever it takes to win a game. Davis has as good a chance as ever to win it all again.

#2 Lone Peak

Lone Peak has a new look but they have looked sharp and it might be the new energy that they are playing with under Izzy Ingle. New transfer PG [player_tooltip player_id='1724367' first='Saxon' last='Young'] has been ona tear on the AAU Circuit playing with The [program_tooltip program_id='2272999' first='Salt' last='Lake Rebels']. His playmaking ability and that simple downhill play has been fun to watch. He can turn the corner and stay low and under control almost better than anyone regardless of class. Then you add rising start [player_tooltip player_id='1724365' first='Crew' last='Fotheringham'] to the mix as a lengthy wing that can get you a bucket outside and inside you have a solid 2-man game with those two. [player_tooltip player_id='2084384' first='Camden' last='Broadhead'] is a player that is starting to come along and will likely be among the leaders on this young team.

#3 Layton

The Lancers are no slouch heading into August. They will be lead by [player_tooltip player_id='1724368' first='Karter' last='Miller'] one of the best PG's in the class and a player that can shoot the ball and handle. He is a tricky player to defend because he will light you up and carve you up as he attacks the basket. Two player sthat will be immediate impact players are [player_tooltip player_id='2539689' first='Jack' last='Godderidge'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2716619' first='Chase' last='Randall']. These two can score the ball and with the ball moving around to them more often this time around they will both take advantage of their scoring opportunities. The Lancers could easily have 3 players averaging double-figures. Nic Anderson makes this team even deeper and he is a threat to score from the outside.

#4 American Fork

With AF likely traveling all over to get some high quality games this season like always, they could experience some losses but it will prepare them for the long haul and that is to make a run at a State Championship like they usually do. They will have a very much improved [player_tooltip player_id='1439711' first='Bryce' last='Mella'], a player that is shooting the ball really well. Mella just received an offer from Utah State. Joining Mella next season is [player_tooltip player_id='2089441' first='Jax' last='Clark'] one the most under the radar PF in the West. Mella is a D1 prospect that has been just tough to stop. [player_tooltip player_id='2521701' first='Lincoln' last='Zimmerman'] has been a bright spot for a really deep team. [player_tooltip player_id='1724369' first='Jax' last='Oyler'] can really shoot the ball and if he is getting open looks it is going to be bottom of the net most of the time. [player_tooltip player_id='2194675' first='Dieter' last='Tuitavuki'] has been super tough this summer as well. He is a young talented player ready to rise.

#5 Bingham

Bingham has a few players to lean on this coming year. [player_tooltip player_id='1278436' first='Luke' last='West'] is one of them. Luke is a high school CG as he can play all 3 positions. West is a 3-level scorer that has been shooting the ball well and elevating better than he ever has. He will run with [player_tooltip player_id='1493311' first='Parker' last='Snedaker'] a CG that is lengthy and on the rise. Snedaker has been a player you can rely on as a two way athlete. He is going to be a steal in the class. You add [player_tooltip player_id='2388584' first='Lucas' last='Neidig'] to the mix as a big strong big that if he can work the pick n' roll better this seaosn he is going to have a mismatch almost all the time. Bingham is a sleeper in 6A.

#6 Corner Canyon

The Chanrgers are loosing a ot but have some strong pieces ready to take on the challenge. Josh Tollman is a strong PF that can move and is quick and active. [player_tooltip player_id='2208570' first='Manase' last='Brown'] is one of the better athletes in the state and he can jump out of the gym and defend. [player_tooltip player_id='1278437' first='Tyler' last='Mortensen'] is turning into a go to scorer and you have a player like [player_tooltip player_id='1724355' first='Diesel' last='Dart'] that can shoot out in the perimeter. Watch out for the young developing guard [player_tooltip player_id='2809197' first='Ty' last='Kozlowski'] as he has a chance to see the floor as a freshman if he continues to rise.

#7 Herriman

Herriman could also catch a few teams off guard as they will lean heavily on [player_tooltip player_id='1278442' first='Carlo' last='Mulford'] a promising PG that is ready to take over the bulk of scoring as a few players have graduated from this past season. Mulford has the skill set to lead the state in scoring. He has picked up some impressive offers since the end of last season. He will get help from [player_tooltip player_id='1724357' first='Stone' last='Tia'] a up and coming wing that can play the forward position.

#8 Skyridge

Skyridge will bring back some players that have accumulated a lot of experience and are ready to make a run. Carson Mostellar is one of them and [player_tooltip player_id='2540005' first='Joel' last='Gardner'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2346735' first='Ryder' last='Gentry'] look to take over the bulk of the scoring. This coming season the scoring could be evenly distributed among these three players which will make it hard to key in on one certain player. Skyridge could easily be among the teams that surprises a few people.

#9 Syracuse

Really like what Syracuse has been doing this summer and a few of their players have been moving on up with their level of play. [player_tooltip player_id='1958347' first='Skylar' last='Orton'] is ready to make his case as he has been doing all grassroots season long. Orton is an under the radar prospect and he will be joined by [player_tooltip player_id='2216723' first='Beckham' last='Reese'] an other 6'0 Guard that can score the ball. Syracuse could be dangerous. The young and hungry [player_tooltip player_id='2024667' first='Colton' last='Hoenigman'] is going to see the floor a lot more and he could really help this team.

#10 Lehi

Lehi rounds uo the Top 10 and the person that will have a lot on his shoulders will be [player_tooltip player_id='1724360' first='Ashton' last='Shewell']. Really exoect him to have a breakout scoring season. It could turn into a let Ashton cook type of season and that is okay. [player_tooltip player_id='2539983' first='Nate' last='Rosenlof'] could have a breakout year as well as Cooper Young. [player_tooltip player_id='2194424' first='Avery' last='Howe'] will need to step his game up this coming season but Lehi will be a tough program to beat.
