Let's take a look at those 2028's that will come to the forefront for their teams this season. Ranked players that have made the leap from freshman or jayvee hoops to varsity role player or starter. Players who will have a pivotal role in their program's success.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617683' first='Jaden' last='Fleming'] donned the Polar Bear varsity bench last season so it won't be unfamiliar territory, but this year being a year older, a year stronger and more experienced, Fleming will have some real responsibility resting on his shoulders. Whether its a starting role or a relief role for a starting point guard, Fleming looks to be up to the challenge. He's a strong ballhandler with a nose for the bucket and has used the Big Shots circuit via WV Reign as his proving ground.

[player_tooltip player_id='2621982' first='Preston' last='Watkins'] has walked the walk already for the Monarchs, but the reason we see him as emerging is because we think he'll be the top gun for John Marshall this year with defenses keying on senior teammate Knapp. Watkins has an exceptional toolbox for a youngster and if he develops his point guard skills he's dangerous.

[player_tooltip player_id='2444040' first='Breck' last='Allen'] is widely known across the MOV and LKC lands as one of the best young multi sport athletes in the area. It seems he could be dominant in whatever sport he wanted to concentrate most on. IF its basketball don't be surprised if he leads Williamstown in scoring this year as almost their entire scoring has graduated.

[player_tooltip player_id='2732795' first='Kai' last='Wade'] will certainly emerge as a slashing and dashing point guard with length and athletic ability to spare. Look for him to start and lead the Capital squad this coming year as he's simply too rangy and talented to keep on the bench. He adds an interesting dynamic to a squad who's gained a couple hoop transfers, however, Kai is the future of this program.

[player_tooltip player_id='2734719' first='Logan' last='Hovanec'] has been cutting his travel ball live period teeth with some of the rest of his high school teammates lately in the carolinas. Logan might not be a starter on the Chapmanville squad as its fairly stacked at the moment, but he's a player who'll have a big role off the bench now as well as be a centerpiece going forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='2605861' first='Teigan' last='Watson'] could be playing an importantl part of the Wheeling Park puzzle early and often. Another young and lengthy guard who seems to be improving wildly every time we see him. I'd look for him to play very meaningful minutes in some capacity by mid January. If he can shoot it well enough maybe sooner.

[player_tooltip player_id='2691768' first='Zayden' last='Farmer'] has been referred to as one of the best point guards in the coalfields regardless of class currently. Players at Pikeview don't get much press, however, they do have alot of talent. Farmer will not only start for Pikeview but could lead them in multiple stat categories.

[player_tooltip player_id='2425399' first='Roe' last='Maston'] might be the answer for St Mary's recent basketball woes. His progress in just a few months has been remarkable and should be commended while competing with WV Reign this spring and summer. Maston is a walking double double for most of the St Mary's schedule.

[player_tooltip player_id='2905369' first='June' last='Jackson'] will be a name we'll all hear often in the near future. Jackson seems to be on a steep and sharp upward path towards his basketball ceiling, which is very high. Playing up with the WV Hustle this spring and summer he has been a player that can step up and score as well as hold his own on the other end while guarding bigger and older guards. Jackson has made his mark with several scouts and media folks in attendance of games.
