Cali-Live: More 2026 Prospects Who Played Well

June 27-29 PH NorCal was at Ladera Sports Complex for the Cali-Live High School Basketball Tournament. There were 40 NorCal teams plenty of prospects who played well. Here we'll take a deeper dive into the prospects who played well while we were watching    He spent time running the point guard position. A steady ball handler, keeps his dribble live, settled the team in half-court sets. He makes good use of his body on the dribble. He had good passing around the perimeter, knows where his shooters are, he can get into the paint. His steady guard play helped get his team to the Championship Game.     He was an excellent ball distributor the game we watched. He keeps his dribble live, has good vision, had good passing for assists. He made controlled drives into the paint to draw defenders. He found shooters on the perimeter, cutters to the basket. He hit the paint jumper, and open 3's. Controlled the pace at times.     A hard playing guard, he does the things that don't show up on the stat sheet. Well conditioned, runs hard up court filling lanes, might not get it, hustles back on defense. At 6'1 he'll find a body to boxout, might not get the rebound. He has a good stance, gets up into ball handlers body, force him one way or the other. He'll handle, make the extra pass. He'll spot up around the perimeter for a 3ptr.     An experienced point guard, one of our better passers with court vision, who can mix in scoring. He penetrates to create, dishing it off to open mates around the rim. He's fast pushing it up in transition, making the long pass up. He can drop a 3ptr in rhythm, drive and stop for the mid-range off the dribble.     He had a good Spring heading into June. He's playing aggressive, and with confidence right now. He's taking and making 3-point shots in the flow of the offense. He's an improving ball handler with a solid body to handle bumps driving to the basket. He cuts, receives and goes up strong off two feet. He's helping rebound.     He's been steadily improving his play on the court. Specifically his 3-point shooting. Stands shot ready in the corners, and top for catch and shoot. He runs the court. He's boxing out, and getting out on corner shooters. He circles the post area looking to hit the short jumper.     The 6'6 W/F is playing some urgency his Senior season. He's bouncy and active in the paint area going up high dunking off two feet under the rim, going after blocks. He's getting rebounds, busting out with the dribble, and long strides up court. If there's a path he's gonna throw it down on somebody. He has length and foot speed to defend multiple positions. He could be a riser!     His ability to knock down open 3-point shots was key in helping his team to a 4-0 record, and a bracket championship. After going 1-3 last week at section 7, Boquiren stepped up his game. He dropped open 3's at a good percentage. He had nice moves to finish drives in the paint, including a spin, and fade paint jumper over bigs. He has quick hands and feet.
