To say the future of basketball in the state of Arkansas is bright would be a tremendous understatement. The class of 2028 is the focus for today's article. Several prospects from the 2028 class had no problems opening eyes during the summer circuit.

[player_tooltip player_id='2820934' first='Jace' last='Gatlin']-Shooting Guard-Benton-5'11”

[player_tooltip player_id='2820934' first='Jace' last='Gatlin'] had no trouble putting the rest of the state on notice with his impressive play this summer. Gatlin has lit it up all summer on the offensive end of the floor. He is able to create his own shot and he cause plenty of headaches for his defender. Gatlin has the range to hit from anywhere on the floor with impressive consistency. Gatlin has the potential to continue the momentum he has built this summer and keep it going in high school play this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2637777' first='Press' last='Taylor']-Combo Guard-Farmington-6'1”

The Farmington guard had an impressive high school season and kept that momentum rolling into the summer. Taylor is a prospect who can handle the basketball or take the big shots needed to win games. He has the range to connect on jumpers consistently from beyond the arc. Taylor is a worker on both ends of the floor. He plays tight defense and will battle for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Taylor had a busy time on the circuit and is a prospect who I expect to continue to open eyes this school year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2422333' first='Brian' last='Cal Jr.']-Point Guard-Benton-6'0”

Brain Cal Jr. is a point guard to watch out for this upcoming season for the Panthers. He can play either style of temp. Either pressing the tempo or slowing down the offense and running sets. Cal Jr. is an unselfish player with the basketball. He will make the extra pass to the open shooter. Meanwhile, he can connect from beyond the three-point line or drive to the basket and finish around the rim. Cal Jr. is a prospect to watch out for over the course of the high school season. He is a player who could produce a big season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2397927' first='Bryson' last='Cannon']-Point Guard-North Little Rock-6'2”

[player_tooltip player_id='2397927' first='Bryson' last='Cannon'] is capable of playing multiple spots in the backcourt. He handles the basketball well and does a great job of distributing the basketball. Cannon makes the extra pass and helps his teammates up well. Meanwhile, he plays aggressive defense and will force turnovers from anywhere on the floor. Cannon has had a strong summer and he is a prospect to watch out for as the high school season approaches.
