With the spring and summer high school and club basketball seasons firmly in the rearview, we dug deep into our evaluations of the 2027 class in Southern California and put a fresh update on our rankings. There was a lot of movement among the top 75 prospects and below we break down who made the biggest jumps.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436262' first='Caden' last='Jones'] | Crean Lutheran | Old: 58, New: 52

Jones is a physical and athletic lead guard who showed impressive command for the point guard spot throughout the spring and summer. The 6-foot-2 rising junior, who is also a touted quarterback prospect, organizes his team in that fashion, makes plays off the bounce for himself teammates and competes at a high level on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815219' first='Asher' last='Haloossim'] | Windward | Old, 103, New: 53

Haloossim was one of our biggest overall stock-risers of this update. The 6-foot point guard is a high energy player who you can count on to do all of the little things on both ends of the floor, whether it's taking charges, diving on the floor for a loose ball or simply giving maximum effort on his defensive assignment. Haloossim is a lethal perimeter shooter both from three-point and mid-range levels of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2647227' first='Langston' last='Ford'] | Fairmont Prep | Old: 59, New: 56

Ford has tremendous value at the high school level because of his combination of elite linear and vertical athleticism which enable him to be an efficient paint finisher in both transition and half-court offense. Ford has a quick first jump off the floor and uses quick twitch changes of speed and direction to get into the teeth of the defense where he can get angles to the rim and score.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815168' first='Lucas' last='Gaspar'] | Mater Dei | Old: 61, New: 57

The 6-foot-6 wing has two things working in his favor: positional size and the small forward/wing spot and the ability to knock down open shots at a high clip. Gaspar is a floor stretcher off the catch with deep and consistent range. His basketball IQ as an off-ball mover shows in his natural feel for creating angles for passes when teammates drive and is always a shot-ready player.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815195' first='Isaac' last='Hagens'] | Long Beach Poly | Old: 86, New: 77 | Pictured

The 6-foot-6 left-handed forward has been on a slow but steady progression in his skill-set that will likely take off in the upcoming season as he will garner more minutes and touches at Poly. Hagens has an intriguing offensive skill-set complete with face-up shooting ability and back to the basket feel and touch.
