Upcoming Juniors Team Camp Takeaways

It showed on the court as he defended across all positions, getting into passing lanes, poking the ball loose on drives to the rim, and showcasing lateral quickness guarding full court with pressure. He played well off two feet, getting paint touches that led to good scoring opportunities. He was able to play through contact as he attacked the basket off the dribble. He played hard-nosed, scrappy defense in the lane, changing shots and forcing bad decisions from the offense. He boxed out strongly and pulled down rebounds relentlessly. His 6'6 frame, coordination, and speed make him a threat. He showed the willingness to do everything on the court, from hustle plays, knocking down shots from outside, finishing above the rim, solid body control on drives, setting screens, rebounding, and sharing the ball. He has become a much better playmaker over the summer. In the first couple of games at camp, I noticed him controlling the offense a lot more than before, bringing the ball up and setting the table on offense. He has got more of a wiggle to him with the ball in hand now, creating space off the bounce and attacking closeouts. His intermediate game shows more patience now to find high-quality looks or assists.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
