Hamilton, OH — The UA Future Finals once again delivered as one of the premier stops on the youth basketball circuit. This year's tournament brought together nearly 221 boys' teams in Greater Cincinnati for three intense days of competition. Talent was on full display across every grade level, with 35 teams in 5th grade, 46 in 6th, 68 in 7th, and an impressive 72 teams competing in the 8th grade bracket. Here's a look at some of the standout backcourt play from the 7th-grade division…

Playing up in the 8th grade division, Junior Burls impressed for North Select with his size, skill, and versatility. The wiry guard handled 1-3 duties effectively, showing poise as a ball-handler and sharp vision as a passer. While his athleticism is still developing, his feel for the game stood out. Burls consistently got downhill, made smart reads, and finished when needed. He's a reliable creator who continues to expand his offensive toolbox.

AJ Cooper played a key role in leading Gulf Coast Blue Chips (North) to an Elite Eight finish at the UA Future Finals. A quick, athletic wing with good positional size, Cooper thrived in both transition and the halfcourt, using his burst to get to the rim and finish through contact. He handled the ball well and carried much of the scoring load, showing flashes of passing vision but clearly built to score. Defensively, he moved well laterally and held his own against smaller guards.

Jordan Crawford powered P7 Elite to the UA Future Finals title game and was a strong backcourt complement to King Harris. A confident scorer and playmaker, Crawford thrives in an up-tempo setting, showing poise and creativity even at top speed. He's quick, compact, and tough to knock off his line, routinely beating defenders off the dribble. While his jumper was streaky, he embraced pressure moments. Defensively, his energy and physicality set the tone, forcing turnovers and wearing teams down.

King Harris was the other key backcourt piece for P7 Elite, helping lead the squad to the UA Future Finals title game. A national name in the Class of 2030, Harris brings confidence, toughness, and a proven track record at a high level. He thrives pushing the pace and finishing coast to coast, while also showing the ability to score or create in the halfcourt. Comfortable under pressure, he handles the ball with poise. His jumper is a work in progress, but his physical tools, aggressiveness, and defensive presence make him a force on both ends.

DJ Sebastion may have been the most dominant Class of 2030 guard at the UA Future Finals, leading IW Elite to a 7-0 run and a Curry division title without much resistance. A vocal leader with the poise of a seasoned floor general, Sebastion plays with strength, control, and maturity beyond his years. He's not overly explosive, but finishes through contact, hits shots consistently, and gets to his spots with ease. A steady ball-handler who dictates pace, he consistently finds teammates and makes the right reads.

Stay tuned for more from Prep Hoops Next!
