Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at a talented group of Class of 2029 point guards who we watched at last weekend's Midwest Showcase at Homefield Courts in Kansas City, KS

[player_tooltip player_id='2887650' first='Stacy' last='Sorrell'] lll (CBC): A 5'10 point guard who has an impressive feel for the game and a high basketball IQ. He has very good defensive instincts for a young player. He's always in the right position and he makes good rotations as well as his good on ball defense. The young lefty is a smooth ball handler and passing who hits open 3-pointers.

*********

[player_tooltip player_id='2918951' first='Max' last='Lyles'] (Smith-Cotton): A 6'1 point guard who has a solid body and a very nice offensive package to go along with it. He did a really nice job of operating the pick and roll. He made some accurate pocket passes for the roller. He could also turn the corner and get downhill or make the 3-pointer if the defender went under the screen. He's an emerging young talent in Mid-Missouri.

*******

Zhitavion Shelby Jr (Boonville): While most people know about 6'7 young standout [player_tooltip player_id='2767899' first='Bronx' last='Ganaway'], there is another talented youngster at Boonville in this 6'0 point guard. He has good quickness and athleticism to go along with his offensive skills. He has a quick burst to beat defenders off the dribble and he could knock down the open perimeter jumper.

********

[player_tooltip player_id='2918956' first='Brayden' last='Harris'] (DeSmet): A 5'11 point guard who plays with a nice offensive flow for a youngster. He is a capable 3-point shooter and he also has a nice shot fake and dribble move to a mid range jumper. He's also good at changing speeds and directions off the dribble.

********

Alex Nadeau (Oak Grove): A 5'10 point guard who is the younger cousin of 2026 standout [player_tooltip player_id='2353848' first='Phillip' last='Nadeau']. He came off the screen and knocked down a 3-pointer from the head of the key. He's also handled himself pretty well against pressure.

*******

[player_tooltip player_id='2900424' first='Hudson' last='Creekmore'] (Penney): A 6'0 lefty who was impressive in the two games I watched him. He was shooting it well from 3-point range and he played with good pace. He's very young and he plays with confidence. He can change speeds off the dribble and his court vision is good.

*******

[player_tooltip player_id='2918965' first='Brandon' last='Brown'] (Ozark): A 5'10 point guard who was holding his own as he was given the ball in the game I watched. He was quick and he handled himself against pressure. He did a nice job getting into the lane on penetration through either the straight line drive or the stop and go.

********

Jamarii Coleman (Smith-Cotton): A 6'0" combo guard who has a good athleticism and a quick burst which could get him into the lane. The young lefty has the ability to get downhill on the straight line drive or rise up and shoot the short pull up jumper.
