During the first week of June Warren County High played against Tullahoma's Wildcats on the THS floor. All evaluations below are from that game.

Warren County (Starters*)
#2 [player_tooltip player_id='2381896' first='Corban' last='Felton']*
#23 Keyton Reno*
#24 [player_tooltip player_id='2503087' first='Devin' last='Fish']*
#33 [player_tooltip player_id='2880796' first='Chance' last='Whitlock']*
#35 Deashawn Adams*

Tullahoma (Starters*)
#3 [player_tooltip player_id='2817296' first='Alex' last='Bobo']*
#11
#15 Jayden Thompson*
#23
#33 [player_tooltip player_id='2352126' first='Austin' last='Tinnon']*

[player_tooltip player_id='2503087' first='Devin' last='Fish'] established his potency as a scorer. As the game matured he proved to be the most effective guard offensively. Fish showed some wiggle and the ability the open three-pointer.

Tullahoma returns three starters from last season: [player_tooltip player_id='2817296' first='Alex' last='Bobo'], Jayden Thompson, [player_tooltip player_id='2352126' first='Austin' last='Tinnon']. The team ran their trademarked 2-3 zone. Bobo defended the perimeter very well and Tinnon hovered under the rim.

The Wildcats practiced a little 2-2-1 pressure. The first time they ran it they forced an errant pass and a quick counter resulted in Jayden Thompson scoring and-1.

Multiple times Tullahoma cleared out the lane and pulled Tinnon to the top with the intent of feeding Jayden Thompson low for some iso operation. This is a smart idea because it places Thompson on the other team's second big.

Jayden remains an important piece to the Tullahoma puzzle. Sure, he is built more like a defensive lineman than a small forward, but he moves well and contributes in a variety of ways. Also, this game reminded that Jayden helps alleviate some of the defensive burden undertaken by Tinnon.

For Tullahoma [player_tooltip player_id='2381896' first='Corban' last='Felton'] looks poised to take on a slightly bigger role. Last year Felton led the team in assists with 2.9 per, an unusually low figure for a team leader. Unlike most teams in high school THS does not really feature a primary passer and numerous players are able to initiate the offense or make that final pass.

Early in the game Warren County made shots around the rim challenging for THS. Deashawn Adams was a gritty defender. [player_tooltip player_id='2880796' first='Chance' last='Whitlock'] helped though Tullahoma was able to get Whitlock into a 2-on-1 situation a couple of times. Those are often going to end poorly for a post defender and they did.

Incidentally, Chase Whitlock put on serious "good weight" in the last months+. His strength is apparent upon sight. Look for Whitlock to have a breakout senior season after averaging 4.1 ppg and 4.9 rpg this past year.

Offensively, Deashawn Adams was spotty early attacking the Tullahoma press. His indecision resulted in two turnovers and Tullahoma became energized from that success.

History

In 2024-2025 Tullahoma enjoyed a dream season, finishing the last day of the year losing in the 3A Championship Game to Upperman.

Warren County finished 20-8 and graduated their three captains (Connor Williams, Nathan Turner, Aaron Templeton). The Pioneers won their district with a 9-2 record.

Warren County brings back their four leading scorers from last season: [player_tooltip player_id='2503087' first='Devin' last='Fish'] (15.0 ppg), Keyton Reno (9.9 ppg), Deashawn Adams (9.4 ppg), [player_tooltip player_id='2381896' first='Corban' last='Felton'] (6.1 ppg) and [player_tooltip player_id='2880796' first='Chance' last='Whitlock'] is certain to be a breakout player coming off his 4.1 ppg, 4.9 rpg junior season.

Substitutes

As mentioned Tullahoma returned much of their team. Who will emerge as depth players? Can anybody help in a bigger way than they did last year?

Late in the first quarter THS subbed in Andrew Carmack and Gage Allen. Allen looks like the backup point guard, a slender 5-foot-10 ball-handler.
