Recruiting: Highland Sharpshooter Commits to ENMU

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>2025 Highland sharpshooter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1687821' first='Jesus' last='Licon']</strong>, who has arguably been the state's top 3-point shooter over the past two seasons, has made his college choice.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Licon has committed to Eastern New Mexico, per recent social media postings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Despite missing about half of his senior season with an injury suffered a year ago, Licon finished his career at Highland with 1,703 career points, including 277 3-pointers. As a junior in 2023-24, Licon connected on 146 3-pointers and averaged 28.8 points per game to help lead the Hornets to the Class 4A state championship.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A serious injury limited Licon to 19 games this past season. He didn't play his first game for the Hornets until mid-January. He still scored close to 400 points and averaged 19.5 points per game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In other recruiting news, 2026 Albuquerque Academy 6-foot-10 forward <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1717250' first='Hunter' last='Aime']</strong> has been offered by Bevill State Community College in Jasper, AL.
