Recruiting: Flurry of offers as May begins

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As the 2025 calendar flips to May, the recruiting activity has picked up for New Mexico prospects. Here's what has happened in the last 24 hours or so:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-- 2025 Valley SG/PG <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2677085' first='Angelito' last='Villa']</strong> was offered by NAIA Midland University in Fremont, NE. Villa averaged 15.7 points and 4.8 rebounds to help lead Valley to the quarterfinals of the Class 4A state tournament.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-- 2028 Sandia rising sophomores <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2714567' first='Isaiah' last='Brown']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2714580' first='Gad' last='Harris']</strong> were reoffered by recently hired New Mexico Highlands head coach Zach Settembre. Brown and Harris helped lead Sandia to the Class 5A state championship game. In addition, NMHU also offered 2028 guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2714561' first='George' last='Smith']</strong>, who averaged 15.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game for Class 3A state champion Robertson.  All 3 prospects are currently playing for BYC Elite New Mexico in the summer AAU circuit.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-- <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2714567' first='Isaiah' last='Brown']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2714580' first='Gad' last='Harris']</strong> have also been offered by Northern New Mexico College. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-- 2025 Albuquerque Prep standout <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1336530' first='Christian' last='Gilliland']</strong> committed to Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, Miss.
